Sorry for our absence. With the holidays and little sister being sick for all of December, we had quite the delay. To top it off, we are dealing with a broken camera! Hoping to be back on track shortly. Thanks for sticking around!
Here is a more editorial type style with the braid down the center. This was a fun style to change things up a little bit. Did you like it? Let me know below if you would like to see similar styles to this more often!
Start with the mohawk sectioned off in the crown. (I would try to center it more than I did here.)
Clip that out of the way and secure the rest of the hair in a high ponytail.
Use spray gel (linked below) to tame the fly aways.
Once the ponytail is secured with an elastic.
Take the mohawk section and begin a dutch braid. (for a slower how to dutch braid tutorial, find the link below in the description.)
Split into three.
Cross the outside sections underneath the middle section.
Add a small section of hair to each side strand and cross under the middle
Repeat these steps until you can't add any more hair.
Continue to 3 strand braid until the braid reaches the ponytail and even a few stitches longer.
Start to pancake and pull at the braid until you have the desired look
Secure the dutch braid to the ponytail with an elastic.
Take a one inch section from the ponytail and add a three strand braid.
Pancake if desired and secure with an elastic.
Add one more braid to the ponytail and pancake.
Curl the ponytail taking 1-1.5 inch sections at a time.
We used a 1 inch barrel wand. I will link the wand below.
