I've not used this product, but I do use many of Mohawk's finishing and repair products. I have been pleasantly satisfied with their line. Thank you for sharing.

What’s your favorite product of their’s?!? Just wondering if I’m missing anything vital in my Mohawk stock. Thanks for watching.

@@madelinejeanantiquesrestor9074 Hard to say. I started working on restorations a couple years ago. I have used their toners, dye stains, epoxy putty, burn in sticks, etc. My techniques are still evolving as I continue to learn. It just seems they are almost a one stop shop concerning tools for color matching and repair. I continue to seek insights which is why I watch your videos...you seem to be a straight shooter and are willing to share your knowledge. There are a few others I watch, as well. Depending on the repair, wood type, previous finish, age of the wood, etc. there is quite a bit to learn. I get my Mohawk products from a paint store that is about an hour drive from me, but their staff is extremely knowledgeable and I have learned from them also. You are great, keep doing what you do...don’t change. I have my notebook and pen in hand!

Great review of the OZ polish... I was introduced to this product 30 years ago, purchased from Constantines Wood Center for restoring a vintage Brunswick Anniversary pool table, it brought out the luster not only in the wood, it brought back life into the dull red hard rubber pocket liners. Recently used it on a dull Bakelite surface, it produced a fresh looking satin finish. Like the cedar chest, have the identical vintage chest, great Art Deco look. Recently attended Mohawk's workshop, highly recommend it... Joe

(I may be wrong but) OZ has been around for many years. My mother used it on our furniture back in the 70’s and 80’s. Great product!

I believe you may be right. I just started taking an interest in mid century modern style furniture pieces and all the furniture forums I belong to recommend OZ. I love this stuff!

Thanks again Bethany. Looks like a good product to keep at hand. Sometime ago I attended a Mohawk touch-up workshop/seminar. Haven't kept up with what they have to offer but for wood finishing repair they had kits/products to do just about anything. The kits were somewhat of an investment and the skill to be good at using them had to be honed. I never became good at it...you on the other hand would shine. Take care and keep up the amazing work...

I was impressed with this stuff. I’ve heard the sane that their products are THEE best when it comes to touch ups and repair work. I went ahead and bought a bunch of their colored pigments, solvent, grain pencils and an assortment of their Fil-Stiks. My goal is to get really good at repairing missing veneer by filling it with Bondo and then replicating the original finish as best as I can with those products. It will surely be a learning curve but I love learning a new skill. Thanks so much for commenting and sharing your insight. 😁

just subscribing doesnt inform of new videos, gotta click the notification bell too now i think :) i love the idea of recycling, first the junk made today from chipboard is rubbish, compared to how things used to be made it doesnt stand a chance, second i agree bare wood treated or untreated just looks so much better to me and lastly just having something with history is fascinating, whos had that chest, what did it store in the last 80 years, how many homes has it seen

I'll go research that about subscribing vs. clicking the bell. Good to know!

Did anybody else notice that between frames 6:12 and 6:25 three paranormal entities suddenly and quickly flash/streak from the antique cedar chest as the finish is cleaned and restored? I wonder what it was? It was almost like cleaning the finish ran them off. Seemed harmless.

wouldnt see an Ikea or Argos chest still functional even after 80 years
