Guthrie's a wonderful funny human being , one can see the utter joy he gets, allowing these brilliantly gifted musicians to play with him . First of all you would have to be exceptional just to get the request / opportunity . Secondly , what a boost to one's confidence, and acceptance in the music scene, to be able to say they've played with Guthrie . Its akin to getting a degree ! .....

Don't overlook... That is Senri Kawaguchi on drums. I have all of her disks. She is also about 20 and plays at a very high level style, technique, chops, taste etc... Guthrie does not hire any bums. He only gets top notch players.
