Shatabdi Trains are running since almost 50 years. And left about Minister, the railway Minister doesn't does much because his work is just to approve funds and nothing. Everything that we experience is done by the proud Railway officers and we should appreciate them instead of the Railway Minister

😅 I am sorry but all of you are wrong here. I am saying these things to you as my grandfather, my father and uncle all work for Indian Railways. All these food and items and their qualities are neither looked after nor managed by the government. There are different private companies who run this business. They have plan and they put this forward to the administrative department of the railways. The company who who put forward the cheapest yet the best plan forward are given the contract are then selected by the government officials.They have a tenure period .After the tenure is over again this same process is repeated.

This is a very different looking Shatabdi. Thank god Indian railways have improved. The chicken and non vegetarian food has always been very delicious in trains. These guys really know how to cook very good Biryani's & curries.

No. The entire train has only two types of compartments, one is 'chair car' and the other is 'first class'. They both are same and even they serve the same stuff in the same way. The difference is 'chair car' has 5 chairs in a row while 'first class' has 4 chairs, so more spacious but double the price.

Dinesh panchal ji Mai every year 4 see 6 baar shatabdi me Chandigarh to Delhi and back travel karti hu last 4 years se. I have enough experience to say that....food is tasteless corn floor wali Dal aur greavy.... Because I am a woman...itna to bol hi sakte hai ki khana kaise bana hai. Soup ice cream and other things achha hota hai but main course is not good.

Recently Anubhuti coach improves the service now they also serves cornflakes with milk & tomato soup replaces with mushroom soup. The difference I experienced in CC & EC is comfortable seats & ambience rest meals serves is same.

I prefer Indian train over flight anyday. Most interesting train journeys in the world hapoen in India. I livebin China and Chinese trains are so expensive,have no leg room and no food on the train..you have to carry your cup noodles. Also, it is 3-4 times expensive for the same luxury.
