With all due respect, after every question I can stop the video and answer what Monish will say. Why don’t interviewers make proper research and ask questions that have never been asked before? I mean this the highest respect! Sir Monish i am your biggest fan and a value investor since 12 years following you like you did Buffett. Please let me interview you 😊

Hi, It seemed every well known value investor had bad relationship with their spouse, they either had a divorce or had a weird attitude (Ben), Pabrai mentioned his divorce is guided by Munger in a quick and peace way) my question is had they ever comment on this and what could prevent the bad ending? You had watched enough Pabrai video, could you help me find did he ever mentioned on this subject or direct me what he might say on this? thanks

I've watched every single video Mohnish has posted during his career, I never miss one. There are always two or three gold nuggets even if part of the message has already been said in other talks. From this talk my favorite points were the stoic teachings of Marcus Aurelius (Adversity is a blessing), expressing that Micron is not the biggest conviction position in his portfolio, the long-term mentality of an investor having the same framework as the owner of the business and the non-stop learning mentally Warren Buffett has had throughout his career.

Some very interesting points here. I personally like when Mohhish says that you don’t need Excel to know if that is a good or bad business. And if the numbers make sense. Thanks heaps for the words.

Is Pabrai still invested in tencent through prosus?
@tkmnus202311 ай бұрын
Monish seems be inclined towards demand-supply driven business, as previous examples of oil tanker business. These physical economy assets such as warehouses and distribution, automotive dealerships and parts, airports, coal mines, bottling plants, could indeed have a real value advantage with the high valuations of internet economy businesses, such as Apple, where the real tangible assets and equity are lacking. An issue once raised by charlie munger too, what happens when something adverse happens. What book value is left? and most shares are bought back and most earnings distributed as dividends. The moats could be disrupted, trees dont keep growing to the skies and topple without strong roots. Almost all businesses diminish some time or another. Jumping over many 1 foot hurdles may be good enough.

These guys obviously did not bother to read or watch Mohnish's previous interviews. Instead, they just kept asking the same questions that had been asked many times before. Mohnish was probably bored, and might as well just record all the answers and use an audio player to selectively play it out to the audience next time. 🤣😵💫🤡
