Safari in South Africa 2024 part 1

Safari in Kruger National Park South Africa August/September 2024.
Excelent game viewing in Timbavati, Kruger National Park, and Sabi Sands.
In Timbavati we stayed at the excelent Umlani Bush camp. Ranger JD and tracker Opal almost found the big 5 in the first 24 hours of our trip. The missing buffalo's where more than abundant on the way from Orpen to Olifants rest camp on the S126 on day 3 though.
Day four from Olifants to Mopani we started the day with a Kruger cat walk by three lions only one kilometer from camp, and ended the day with a sighting of 1/2 S143 male lions.
On day five no lions, but a cheetah hunting impala.
After Mopani we went south to Satara for three nights giving us excelent Lion sightings, wild dogs and hyena.
Final two days of our trip we did Safari's in Sabi Sands at Umkumbe bush lodge where we found the beautiful Mashaba female leopard.
