i thought about it as well, to me it was kind of post rock / post math or minimal metal even? i know these sound strange but so does the music, outstanding ep!!

To me it sounds like electronic post metal, really unique in their style. If you want to listen to non-electronic that imo sounds (a bit) like this try Swans, Neurosis or even Godspeed You Black Emperor
