The point: values get increasingly important at the same time it gets obsolete... value is the main thing.... But how many of us can comprehend what is value producing? As crazy financialization desperately tries to create value, the more difficult to produce value in itself is evident. The covid is the eye of the hurricane's crisis not only of capitalism, but of modernity as we know it. What comes next? Nobody knows!

well I haven't read this man's book. But I skimmed through it. For example, He sees gender sex struggles as something that Marx can't deal with do to historical circumstances. This is incorrect! Gender sex struggles for freedom are grounded on material circumstances. Marx sees these attributes of capitalism as unfreedom. This is why Marx says that there was more freedom under feudalism than under capitalism. Freedom is a reduction away from something. It is not an addition.

we are still awaiting one single example of socialism's success. the unicornality of the sociality presents a non-existential crisis of ephemerality. within capitalism, a cooperative entity owned by the workers is completely possible. with this possibility, prolertariality is within the realm of the possiblitality in it's entirety. we still await a critical theory that criticizes itself, within itself, both as the subject and the object of it's subjectivity.

So what you got from this was that capitalism doesn't have enough coops? His argument is pretty simple, capitalism eliminates the need for value creating labor while at the same time relying on the growth of value (hence the anachronism of value). The argument that labor is historically specific is a refutation of Austrian economists like Eugen Bohm-Bawerk and Carl Mengers who make the false assumption that Marx's argument is a labor theory of value. Libertarians in this vain have always misunderstood Marxism as arguing workers are being exploited the value of their labor to which they reply is impossible because price is determined by supply and demand. In fact such an understanding of the relations of price or value as understood by Austrian economics or traditional Marxist interpretation in which value is a transhistorical category of the market is historically deterministic, and is exactly the kind of theory Marx was moving a theory of value away from as it precludes the possibility of freedom. It is those relations of unfreedom, in which human conscious have no bearing on social action as everything is determined by transhistorical categories that Marx was critiquing as a means of guiding our social production.
