Yhwach killing Yamamoto using an impostor and the Quincies stealing Bankai is cheap, but it makes sense for them to play dirty, when you see in the most recent episode how the original Gotei 13 used similar tactics to kill the Quincies 1000 years ago. Yamamoto defeated Yhwach literally by having his Lieutenant backstab him. That's exactly what Yhwach is talking about when he says Yamamoto has become weak, because he fights too honorably in comparison to how he fought 1000 years ago.

As far as the stealing bankai goes: 1. They DO get them back later, and the way that they do is a genius bit of in-universe logic that makes sense and is really cool. 2. It’s meant to humble the captains and sets up the entire sub-arc where they focus on the basics and try to develop their shikai to the utmost to be able to counter their bankai, which is a really cool idea. Some of the captains really over rely on their bankai and use it at the drop of a hat. It was cool seeing them need to be more strategic. 3. This is a bit of meta-reasoning, but you HAVE TO have your new villains be more powerful than established powerhouses from the main cast. Otherwise there’s no tension. And the whole “mimicking bankai” idea is such a horrible way for the new villains to power up. It comes across as way more of an ass pull, and the most important thing is, you NEED the Captains to get nerfed somehow. It’s not enough to make the new villains powerful, you must also make established characters weaker. This happens in so many series, it’s the constant issue of power scaling, and honestly I’m not that upset with the way it was done in the manga. The bankai stealing is a bit of an ass pull, but it at least makes some sense. It’s a good way to power up the villains and weaken the captains without introducing some new ability out of nowhere

1. The sense of hopelessness created from Yamamato dying like that and bankais being stolen was top tier. It's like Infinity War where all the people were disappearing. You have to keep in mind that Yhwach had 1000 years prep time and obviously wasn't going to go fight Yamamato head on because he lost the last time he did that, also that would be extremely generic. Plus, that whole interaction between Yamamato and Yhwach was to exemplify the fact that the soul society had grown weak and soft compared to the original Gotei 13 where Yamamato himself would step on his own comrades without hesitation in order to complete a task. This whole ordeal was like a "wake-up call" for the Soul Society to go back to its roots. Thus we see shortly after Unohana, one of the original gotei 13 and the most vicious criminal in the history of the Soul society, train Zaraki to become a true Kenpachi, that shit was amazing. 2. Ichigo being part hollow, quincy, human, etc, is explained pretty well so I don't see how that's an issue.

If the real Yhwach was fighting Yamamoto from the start, he would have stolen Yamamoto's bankai immediately before we got to see what it is and can do. Also, the author of the manga had to rush when making it, forcing him to leave out several important things he wanted to show. With the anime, he is writing and drawing those missing pieces and giving direction to the animation studio on how to include them. For example, Yhwach meeting Aizen in the last episode wasn't in the manga at all.

i don’t get the hate the conclusion of BLEACH gets. Sure you might dislike the conclusion of the final fight, but the conclusion of the story was fucking beautiful. Especially aizens speech about life and death and how meaningless life would be if the concept of death wasn’t a thing. He talks about how what gives our lives meaning is our persistence to keep on moving forward even in the face of despair, it was our fear of death that kept us from being stagnant, ultimately giving us meaning. And this is all ironic coming from Aizen, an immortal man who lost all meaning in his being, which is why i believe he looks sad while giving this speech. Bleach has always been a story about overcoming your fears and evolving to the best person you can be. Which was all wrapped up beautifully in my opinion.

When ur enemies have to resort to slimy unfair tactics and advantages, it tells us ywach was not confident enuf to face such a terrifyingly powerful foe. The Royd Lloyd brothers' criticism is also understandable as i too was confused as the one who copies strength abilities (which i assumed was the stronger brother) lost to kenpachi, while the only memories copying brother (weaker one) was able to hang with Yamamoto. However, after reading a comment which indicated that copying memories can acc be very useful as one can remember all the training/hardwork/knowledge of abilities therefore granting more power, it kinda made sense that the memories brother was stronger.

The new bleach, entirely in a realm of it's own you're seeing a lot of cgi utilized but it's not raw out of the computer it's hand drawn over so not only do you get these great character animations but also this gorgeous hand painted scenery. BLEACH nailed how the war can be so cruel and innocent people can die in it~ It felt very real and I loved how the Quincy's showed no mercy and instantly stole all the bankai's that they could.. also felt very real!! They didn't wasted any time to steal them once they were revealed and then destroyed half the soul society! I agree with the ending being lame in the manga but I am quite sure they can make it right in the anime~ the animation team is already adding some really important stuff in the anime. BLEACH fans eating really good right now!

People being pressed the soul reapers getting slapped don't understand the setting or the meaning. It's meant to show how hopeless the battle is. It's also a war...done right

His complaint falls flat the moment they steal bankai back and it’s revealed the enemies also have a “bankai” that they cant use if they have a stolen bankai on them

The ending is stuck so hard in the heads of some people that they forgot that the rest of the arc was really good. For some even the best arc.

I agree an ending doesn’t make or break a show to me if I enjoyed the beginning 95% of it but I do hope it’s changed cuz I think it’s def pretty bad with ex machine arrow. Def hype for multiple Bankais to happen

Well can you blame them? Look at shows like Naruto. It has some of the highest of highs that get tons of appreciation, but the show equally gets as much criticism for it's ending (and other reasons of course). Naruto's ending for me cheapens the entire journey, and world building to the point where no high could possibly make up for it. Game of Thrones is another perfect example of an amazing show that literally falls off the face of the Earth because of it's ending.

Bankai stealing shouldn't've been a thing in the first place, it's not terrible but it's absurdly broken and is used to ramp up tension fast within a few episodes. A lot of people, charlie included, have issues with how it got resolved but it makes sense regarding the lore and was already hinted at with how ichigo's bankai couldn't be stolen. The real issue is that Kubo never figured out how to balance these fights which is why it's resolved, could you imagine the second invasion if they didn't have access to bankais? Also Vollstandig combined with bankais would've just ended the shinigami no question.

u arent paying attention then, them stealing bankais were supposed to make the soul reapers feel hopeless, humiliated, while also having the soul reapers hone and perfect the abilities they have or learn new abilities since some soul reapers relied on their bankais to much. the quincies arent stealing bankais to make themselves stronger but to weaken their enemies. this is a war you dont want ur enemies to be at full strength but if you pay attention we know the soul reapers used dirty tricks to kill the quincies a 1000 years ago so it only makes sense the quincies would use dirty tricks too. the quincies are here to humiliate, and destroy the soul reapers not play fair. charlie sounds like a bleach hater, he doesnt seem to have payed attention at all to the manga or the anime and its like he purely is mad his favorite died. his take was terrible and mad no sense. the bleach story is fine it just seems like some of yall cant comprehend or understand the story at all.

I also think if every big dude always die by doing a fair 1v1 fight that would be too generic and predictable, idk just a thought.

When the Bankais that were stolen turned out to be of the most overused characters in the manga, I thought it was Kubo's brilliant way of setting them aside, so that captains like Unohana, Kyoraku, Ukitake and Visored ones or even Urahara, etc. can finally have some fighting time. But only that four lost them and they gained them back almost immediately... it seemed like Kubo changed his mind very quickly about it.

Dude I’m so freaking happy that it came back. I watched it growing up. Such a good freaking series. I got back occasionally to watch to old ones. Everything in this new bleach is amazing. Especially the art now.

Kubo did manga dirty... Afterall he was rushed to complete it... He said in recent interview that he will add his custom scenes in the upcoming seasons... Criticism is valid👍🏽

Kubo has already made drastic changes so there is no real concern in my eyes that the ending wouldn’t be changed.

The project is supervised by Kubo and he himself stated that there will be some changes made to the story in order to give bleach a better ending
