Mojacar in the year 2000 | Bus Journey

This film is dashboard footage of one entire trip from Avenida Costa Levante, through Mojacar village, and down to the terminus at Hotel Indalo, filmed in August 2000 when I used to drive the Yellow Bus in Mojacar, Spain.
The only editing of the video takes place at the ramp outside the Pueblo Indalo. This was due to the time I was waiting for the coach to move so I filmed the rest on the next trip.
Lots of differences are noticeable such as:
1) @03:18 The hotels Best Oasis Tropical and Hotel Marina Playa weren't even built yet.
2) @04:45 The new roundabout at La Mata had only just started construction.
3) @06:15 There's no roundabout yet at El Provenzal.
4) @07:15 The old junction at the Parque Comercial and old road up to Mojacar.

The footage was taken using an old JVC GR-AX350 camcorder using VHS-C tapes.
[UPDATE] I've recently spent quite a few hours improving the original footage, taking out static, vhs warping and improving the colours.

Been visiting Mojacar since 1998.. Watching this video in the UK in the middle of February excites me so much for our trip this year in Septmber. Got to say, the new promenade makes the playa look so much better! Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you so much for posting this video! I've just spent 2 weeks in Mojacar (staying right at the top of the pueblo itself) I drove most of this route countless times. Going back in August with the family (to the playa)

There is a lot of difference in mojacar at now ... lovely video , where did you end up yourself are you still connected with mojacar ?
