Mojang Owns Minehut Now.... Sort of. This is a NEW Minecraft 1.20.6 video. In this video, I am going to talk about a big acquisition that recently happened in the Minecraft community. One of the biggest free Minecraft server hosting platforms in the world, Minehut, has been acquired by a company named GamerSafer. This is not the first time we have heard about this company and their relationship to Mojang Studios, Minecraft's creator, is quite interesting. It's very epic, fun, amazing and poggers! This will make playing Minecraft insane and amazing! Your players will absolutely love it! I had lots of laughs and fun. Hopefully, you'll get some useful information from this video. SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT Minehut was bought by gamersafer, but Microsoft barely controls it, and also gamersafer is like 10x better than the old company that owned minehut, super league milked minehut as much as possible, gamersafer has only made good decisions

I tired Minehut a few years ago and I thought it was pretty crap. If I remember correctly, I couldn't use any plugins or mods on it. So I was thinking, is Mojang replacing their Realms service with Minehut? You can't really use plugins or mods on Realms either.

There's been an update and you can add any custom plugins, mods, etc that you'd like. Sadly, only Forge 1.12.2 is supported due to how Forge works with velocity

No server is doxx proof, but if you outsource hosting doxxing won't matter. Some servers have DDoS protection, but that's only for premium services. Aternos and Minehut barely have what's necessary.

@@riderrexx Nope, Realms is the worst value way to play Minecraft multiplayer. For small worlds use Apex Hosting, for larger worlds with like 15+ players use Bloom Hosting DDoS Protection can be bought aftermarket but I'm pretty sure it only works with servers, and not with Realms.
