💚GREENTEA SPREAD
-Matcha powder 20g
-Sugar 30g
-Milk 200g
-Heavy cream 400g
(1) whisk the ingredients all together until you don’t see any lumps
(2) simmer the mixture on a low medium heat until it reduces in half (I recommend you to use a wide pan since it’ll save some time to reach the consistency you want)
(3) Transfer the spread into a clean jar and save it in the refrigerator
🤍SCONE
All-purpose flour 385g
Sugar 95g
Salt 3g
Baking powder6g
Butter 160g
2 Eggs (for the scone)
and one more egg for egg wash
Vanilla extract
Milk 90ml
(1)In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and cut the butter into the dry ingredients until you have small crumbs with a pastry cutter or spatular
(2)Add 2 eggs with milk and Vanilla extract to the mixture (all ingredients should be cold, which means we need to act fast!) and combine the mixture
(3) Wrap the dough and put it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour
(4) Cut the chilled dough into 6~8 pieces (if you want to achieve the same look as my scones, cut the dough into long square pieces and tear the divided dough into about 3~4pieces. And then roughly put those torn pieces together (torn sides should face up), then you'll be able to make the rustic look)
(5) Brush scones with egg wash
(6) Bake at 356°F(180°C) for about 25 minutes
