Nice video, Mojo. I fully agree that games like this, Signalis and Tormented Souls really tape into that old school style of gameplay/ storytelling while injecting that modern understanding of gameplay mechanic. Much like you I never played the old school classic but admire them growing up in that time of their popular but this and Signalis are my true entry into survival horror.

I just finished this game last week as well. You paint it a very good picture both metaphorically and artistically too. Was happy to hear you go into depth on how it feels like something we don’t see as much right now. Will remember fondly and see what things it inspires in the future!

Great video. Thanks for sharing, as I've had my eye on the game since its release. I personally hate the clunkiness of OG Resident Evil. Still haven't been able to finish a playthrough of RE1.
