How to Make Hookah | Proper Way to Pack a Bowl | Perfect Smoking Shisha | Tutorial

How to pack a hookah bowl?
In today’s video we are showing to you for to properly pack a hookah bowl.
There are many technics on how to pack it but this is the most correct one to make hookah last longer, to have the taste transfer the entire smoke session and to have lots of smoking clouds.
We are using standard hookah bowl UPG (Upgrade Hookah Bowl) and for this video we will be using serbetli tobacco - ice mulberry flavor and element tobacco pear and moroz flavors.
First put tobacco inside of your bowl, that way you’ll see how much tobacco you’ll be using. We would recommend to put somewhere lower than top edges of the bowl. (By the way, if you decide to use moron flavor, put just a little bit of it since it has strong feeling of cold ice and there are really chance to get cold out of this flavor if you put a lot of it).
After that, take all tobacco out of the bowl and out it on the napkin, then using fork start mixing it, (that way we are creating unique hookah flavor mix), then, try to remove large sticks out tobacco and that way you’ll get rid of extra juice. But nit over dry it, otherwise the tobacco will give you faded taste and will burn faster. Then, after you mixed it put it back into your bowl and using awl kind of lightly press it around and make a hall in the middle for good airflow. The most important part is to make it fluffy that way your hookah will last longer along with taste transfer.
After that, put pre-heating heat management device along with three charcoals on top of the bowl and let it stay for 5 minutes. But first lift your hmd couple of times and highly burn top layer to prevent it from sticking to hmd.
After 5 minutes of heating your hookah owl evenly start smoking it and remove extra charcoal and put lid on top of it if needed. Good to go!

I wasn't getting good clouds at first. Turns out, my hookah had a opening for a second hose lol. Plugged it with a grommet and clouds were thicker than German guard dogs. Awesome video and new subscriber.

Here in Germany, we mostly use funnel/phunnel bowls (among the more experienced users) like the oblako bowls, hookain litlips etc. Other than that the KS Appo (multiple holes) is also extremely popular, with either a chimney or foil setup. How i most often see a funnel bowl being built, especially when mixing tobacco flavors, is that here, people rarely go to the extra mile of removing the tobacco from the bowl and mixing it. For example, I often use my orden hookah donatello, pick 2-4 tobaccos and usually just pack them in by quarters. After that i use my poker to make the tobacco look like a doughnut (round the edges off). Kaloud/Na grani/Zeppelin on top and off ya go. What's also extremely popular here, are so-called tradis. They are turkish brass hookahs with an inverted bowl adapter. The bowls themselves resemble an UPG, but they use unglazed clay for it. In bars they just pack the bowl by hand, like you would salt a pasta pot. They take a small handful and literally sprinkle it in. That way the bowls can hold a decent flavor for up to 3 hours.

Thanks for this, I learned about leaving the hole in the middle after some trial and error and it worked very well. Its just as important to make sure that theres some space between the foil and shisha. In my preference, I leave most of the juice in the shisha so it doesnt burn as fast and leaves more flavor. A good mix I'd recommend is 75% Skyfall (Adalya) mixed with 25% Blue Mist (Starbuzz). Solid flavor and always had a good smoke.

I smoke my hookah with both normal hookah foil, with medium size holes punched to it and HMD on top of it. That way, your hookah won't get burned unless you force it to. And it will last for about 1-1.5 hours. But I will be honest with you, it won't have as thick clouds.

I mix Trifecta with Ugly and it’s a great smoke..Ugly hookah tobacco handles heat so good ..I also mix in a gram of Tangiers for that kick!!!

In my experience, mixing is the best choice, as every tobacco has their own sweet spot for the heat, and so you'll get a nice balance. On the other hand, mixing does affect the taste, a mixed bowl taste different then a layered bowl - or a "Pie Chart" Bowl if you smoke with a Phunnel ;) Thought when I first started with dark blends and wasn't used to the nicotine flash I made what I would call a sleeper bowl. The first layer will be dark blend, and over the dark blend I then will put Virginia tobacco. So the heat takes some time to reach the dark blend and you have a better chance to get used to the nicotine

Hello, I usually smoke alone and I'm struggling with top layer getting burnt. If I wait 5 mins to heat up, is there a danger of getting the top layer burnt? Or does it get heated completely, not just the top layer? I also use an Oblako phunnel bowl, and also Aladdin MVP500's own bowl (the phunnel bowl burns on top) I usually start smoking the hookah right after puttting the charcoals on, is that a mistake leading to burning maybe?

I use a amy deluxe bowl with the metal screen cover and fill it up and make it fluffy than i make a gap in the middle and us foil and than i put the metal screen cover on it with 4 coals i don’t see anyone use 4 coals it’s stronger but it’s better if you want good and thick smoke (dutch-netherlands)

We lightly removed extra juice from the tobacco since it has a lot of it and it won't effect longer period of smoking. This usually needs to be done for this type of bowl. Thanks for the question!
