Floop used to go over your empty mana crystals but not over the maximum, so you could hit 10~20 (with guff) mana while still having 6 mana crystals for example. So the refresh is a change at all mana caps and beyond mana cap

The worst part is how over-the-top happy his emotes and voicelines are, along the same lines as SpongeBob. So, before the nerf, Floop's Gloop could give temporary mana crystals. For example, at 5:05, if 20 minions had died, the old Gloop would've given you 20 mana to use that turn. With the new Gloop, it would've given you only 9 mana.
