My main issue with the assassin's Creed series is that they move to story to story too quickly some of the characters/arcs are usually left unfinished or half way done based around the general narrative.
@luissimoes26452 жыл бұрын
I said this in another coment but I just post it here. I totally agree with you. I think they should have made the main story 6 games like in the initial plans. What I mean by this is having "main games" (AC1, AC2, AC3...) where Desmond would go through a new assassin's memory and have the modern day plot move forward and having "side games" (AC brotherhood, AC revelations...) as a connector between the modern day story where we play with already established assassins. This way, we would still have gotten the same games up to AC3 and from there they would follow the same format until the big climax of the series. Once they finished the story, even killing Desdmond in the finale if they had always planed to, we could also have "spin off" games where we go through some of the memories of some assassin's to understand better the family trees and etc (like, for example, AC Black Flag and would cut it's modern day story wich is pretty weak since then). This way fans that enjoy the modern day story and would like to see it culminate in some grand finale (me included) would be pleased to see it and some of the fans who just enjoy only the past story would get these kind of "side games" that would have assassin's stories that would add layers to the overall story but would feel like a game on their own. Some of these "side games" could also have sequels like for example having AC: Black Flag and then a sequel where we play with Edward as a full assassin. Or maybe have a trilogy starting with AC: Origins where we see Aya and Bayek form the brotherhood and then a sequel where we see them strugle to keep it together and to define it's ideals and philosophies clearly and then the final game of the trilogy where we see them thriving as a brotherhood and expanding. There was so much that Ubisoft could have done with this story and franchise and that could have been remembered as one the best game franchises of all time and they just let it burn and are now currently making new games without assassin's and breaking established lore all over the place.

For me killing Desmond off was it’s biggest mistake or at least should have waited till Black flag to finish off the Kenway storyline. I think it’s was wrong for reason Aya was sidelined but overall I still prefer Bayak, maybe that would of changed if she was in it more, I’m still baffled how connors speech was cut as it’s so compelling and I listen to it every time I finish the game, I mean it was recorded and even in the the game, plus the canoe would of been really cool

I can't disagree with their decision to cut Aya tbh, 90% of gamers are male and we just prefer male protagonists. There's an occasional female protag we love, but in comparison to what sells, a male protag is the way to go. Personally I get immersed in how realistic a game is. If I see a woman demolishing 6'3" 200lbs men, it's just not realistic

Throwing melee weapons in a time when hand-to-hand combat was the primary means of battle was a stupidly risky move. In any case, you'd have decreased your own arsenal by one item.

Double checked mods for some of the games after and didn't see much On Xbox 360, Sequence 12 & Sequence 13 had some broken audio (dialogue that's muted), fortunately they fixed it for my Ezio Collection on Playstation 4 One doesn't usually sail with a canoe, our canoe in Alaska sure didn't have any sail. Reminds me of Lethal Weapon: "Do you know how to sail, this isn't a sail boat" lol 😝 I'd rather play as Aya dangit, was already annoyed that Syndicate forced me to play Jacob when I wanted Evie. She was better at stealth, was able to clear a restricted area from a flagpole with that cloaking ability and throwing knives, why oh why did Evie lose that cloaking ability for Jack the Ripper

This list could have been cut all together and list "the Main plot", after Syndicate the whole AC franchise became a number RPG game that uses the AC name infested with slightly pay-2-win micro-transactions. Also by shoehorning in Desmond by putting him in the gray just because, I don't know....for some reason that is not even explained properly, only by "I DO TIME-MATH, I'M A TIME WIZARD NOW!". I just really hope Ubisoft removes the RPG mechanics all together in the upcoming AC games.
