To those saying Assassin's Creed isn't historically accurate, of course they take creative liberties. But the time periods they are set in are well recreated. Assassin's Creed Unity was used to rebuild Notre Dame.

The sets are indeed well recreated. Some of the games however take more liberties than others. Odyssey is the most absurd, but Shadow is probably going to be worse on that regard.

The Assassin's Creed franchise isn't historically accurate at all. The real world politics, events, and people are often grossly misrepresented. The architecture of the AC open worlds is a good representation, I agree.
