More populated areas. Especially in the newer games you spend a lot of time just running around in empty space and the only interaction with other living beings is either in cut scenes or enemies

I think. And hear me out, if kratos are going to go to Egypt... he should leave behind a weapon to Atreus - because Atreus would need to stay in Norse - considering who he is. I think... he should leave behind Leviathan. Why not Draupnir - because Draupnir is... custom made for Kratos. Him being Spartan and all. As for Leviathan, i think it was always meant to pass to Atreus. This has been implied throughout the Duology Game. In the first game, Atreus used the Axe quite well in Alfheim when Kratos was indisposed. In the second game, both Atreus and Kratos admit they both liked the Axe. Leviathan mean something to Kratos but it means so much more if Kratos pass it on to Atreus. Like a parting gift before Kratos depart to foreign lands or a final coming of age reward when Loki finally became a true full grown God. Also, in terms of weapon, the signature weapon in Egypt is Khopesh. A curved sword that, in my opinion, could handle a lot like axe.

He does not have to stay in Scandinavia that would be like saying Kratos couldn’t leave Greece after killing the gods, number one number two there’s no evidence that he uses the axe during the scene where Kratos is lost in the light of alphiem during gow 2018, number 3 and this point is more head cannon but the ax is definitely too heavy as of right now to be his weapon considering that he prefers the lightweight magic shield the brothers made him specifically speaking out about how it was balanced and light I doubt they’d make his main weapon, a heavy axe that makes no sense in terms for his combat style

Here's what I think they can do for an Atreus spin off game: Atreus is searching for the missing giants in a different pantheon( Celtic or Slavic lore). Atreus is a little older(16 or 17), he's gotten stronger, learned new abilities, and acquired new weapons, and he meets new friends and enemies. Then the game ends with Atreus returning home and reuniting with everyone back in Norse pantheon, leading to the next God of War sequel.

one thing I feel might happen is that if we get an Atreus spin off or more about him is Hel. IN the norse mythology with Angrboda they had 3 kids Fenrir, Jörmangand and Hel. We already saw the first 2 in Ragnarokso that just leaves Hel. In the post game of Raganarok Mimir mentions in order to gain the armies of her to fight in Ragnarok the bird said it wanted a replacement so maybe Atreus helps by creating Her by using one of the marbles that were in the bag.

@@andreypokesaround If they go with Atreus as the main character of an Egypt themed series of games, and Bastet as the secondary lead heroine we can have Thoth the god of wisdom, the moon, and knowledge show up as he did encounter Kratos in that canonical graphic novel set between the GoW3, and GoW: 2018 and helped Kratos realize that running from the past was not the answer and that if he was to go somewhere else he had to with the intent of settling down to start a new life not run away from the past basically have this moment. Thoth appears in his baboon form: "Well well what do I see little miss hero Bastet and the son of the one with a blood-soaked past." Bastet: "Thoth what are you doing here?" Thoth: "Just thought I'd pop in, say hello, and give you two advice so you two don't do something stupid." Atreus: "Wait you knew my father?" Thoth: "The answer to that is yes. You see he was trying to run away from his bloody past and I helped him see that running away from the past is something a idiot would do that if he intended to go somewhere else it has to be with the intent of staying there to start over and heal not run away from the past."

As an Egyptian, I eagerly await this franchise's exploration and introduction of the mystique, greatness and beauty of our grand ancient pantheon to the world, as it has done with Greek and Norse mythologies. Although the comic book did not do our heritage justice, I remain open to the game's progression in any direction. Being a diehard fan, I will purchase and play it regardless of the outcome.

Heck I want Bastet to be the secondary lead heroine of a Kratos, or Atreus focused game or set of games set in Egypt mainly because as the myths state she can fight as she is the chief guard of her father Ra during his nighttime voyages through the underworld and the one who usually defeats Apophis/Apep and protects her father, plus given that some of her domains are the sun, the moon, healing, protection from evil, and perfumes we can turn that into a moveset basically have her base moves and combos if we get sections where we can play as the heroic feline goddess revolve around her using her feline speed, senses, and agility in combination with her claws, and knives/daggers while special moves that are on a cooldown can be dual pyrokinetic and cyrokinetic attacks, the ability to heal and cure herself and Kratos/Atreus of debuffs and harmful status effects, along with restoring health and healing damage taken in battle, create protective wards to negate damage, debuffs, and status effects, and grant buffs to herself, and Kratos/Atreus, plus we can say being the goddess of perfumes means Bastet can use her knowledge and mastery when it comes to making perfumes to create various smoke bombs that she can use to either conceal herself, and Kratos/Atreus and inflict status effects and debuffs onto enemies. Plus having protection from evil means that the storyline reason for Bastet traveling with Kratos/Atreus is because they have a common goal in stopping whatever the big threat that is threatening Egypt.

I would like a God of War game set in Celtic Mythology. There are numerous references to Shakespeare’s work like MacBeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and even a brief mention of Nimue from King Arthur. I can see Kratos taking on the demonic Nuckelavee, and helping Mimir conquer his own past.

Nimue is not the only mention from Mimir. Fairy king Oberon and Titania are also mentioned especially in Valhalla. The Nornirs also called Mimir “Puck” when Kratos visited them. I think Mimir redeeming himself and accepting his past mistakes could be a great arc if the next game takes multiple pantheons. Maybe Kratos can also have an arc in Greece. While we could also see what happened in Midgard and Vanaheim after the remaining Aesir-Vanir reconciliation. Atreus could end up showing up for another arc. Something like needing help from Kratos for an objective in either Egypt, Maya, or Japan for another arc that could feature a boss fight with a god that Atreus pissed off or accidentally offended by releasing a beast (that could be a hiding Giant).

Even if it is a bit risky to switch protagonist of the franchise, I kinda expect the next game to be focused on Atreus... because he is the one that now has a quest to go on, seeking the giants and mending fences with Sindri, while Kratos seems to have settled for now (he has no reason to move on from where he is now atm). The good thing is that with a shift in focus, we can also go deeper into what the mask and the rift actually was, since that was more tied to Atreus than Kratos... like finding hidden stashes Odin had been using while studying it. So a lot of potential in this direction. Should Kratos even feature? I am not sure he needs to, unless part of the story is actually Kratos with/without Mimir and Freya tracking him down for reasons.

Loki traveling through Greece, discovering the scope of the atrocities his father committed while meeting and dealing with God's and titans still alive trying to corrupt Atreus against his father or kill him because of his father with atreus going through his own character growth and acceptance of who his father became despite who he was. Before we get another main line game, I’d like to see Kratos in another comic/graphic novel where we see him interacting with the people of the Nine Realms as their new God of War. Settling disputes between different tribes, protecting people from monsters that were scrapped from the games, helping deal with the aftermath of Ragnarok, and perhaps hosting a tournament where the Winners get some of his gear/armours sets that he isn’t using.

Kratos jumping across pantheons would be great. Atreus also bears Loki’s namesake so my money is on him becoming a nemesis of Kratos’ in the future. I can see the angle and also having Freya involved somehow. Maybe they will have a child together which will bring about a jealously from Atreus? There’s a lot of directions the developers can go.

Let's talk weapons: 1. Kratos needs to keep the Blades of Chaos(Obvious Reasons) and the Spear(We just got this) The axe could stay, but do we want the gameplay to get stale with it? 2. New weapon That would act like a secondary like the Blades in 2018 or the Spear in Ragnarök, and have the weapon be mythology specific. Tyr showed off plenty of weapons in Valhalla 3. Story about Kratos' curse with his family being lifted. Clearly his skin is getting lighter, and the ash is fading. The only thing to do next is to continue the story of the ash being removed once and for all. 4. Ultimately, a compelling story. We are left in a good spot at the end of Valhalla, so they need to nail the next story. Give of a reason for Kratos to leave his GoW Position in the Norse mythology and travel to new lands. He went to Midgard because of him destroying Greece and him needing to leave, why is he going to a new land in the next game, and what purpose does he serve there? The next game cannot be a Cash Grab, it needs to be purposeful. Maybe Kratos will embrace his God of War and travel to different locations to make treaties with the other mythologies as the Norse God of War. We could even have a starting cut scene with him and Freya in Tyr's chamber talking about why Kratos needs to leave.

Japanese is the direction I would love to see the God of War series take the most. Susanoo, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Ukemochi, Uzume, Takemikazuchi, kamaitachi, hone onna, fat and big-bellied tanuki, tengu, jorogumo, cunning kitsune, Yuki Onna, Hanzo Hattori, Ryuujin, Hachiman (who’s so hideous that anyone who looks directly at him goes blind), Kagutsuchi, rokurokubi, oni, Izanami, Izanagi, yatagarasu, The Eight Gods of Luck, so many enemies and allies he could encounter. It'd be sick if he traveled through a portal intending to go to Egypt and suddenly bam! A silhouette of a being crashes into him grabs him "ah you ive heard of you. Seen what you've done." Kratos kicks attempting to free himself the being intercepts grabbing his leg pulling him closer. "We'll make quick work of you." Kratos frees his leg giving his all places both feet upon the enemies chest kicks free of grasp. Suddenly he's pushed off course barreling down another path embracing for impact. White screen ends up in like ancient japan or India.

Get rid of the one take camera shots. It definitely looks good cinematically, and keeps the characters intimate while when the camera constantly follows them, but it’s hard to dive into side characters’ developments. GoW 2018 did a good job in explaining off cameras stories with Mimir’s story telling. having us play as Atreus was a good touch too because we get to see other characters outside Kratos. But with different camera cuts, it would’ve been nice to dig into Thor’s character and the dynamics with his family.

I think the fanfic of Atraeus/Loke gets the Blades of Chaos for himself, but him making them his own, in some form or another. Maybe the axe instead, either of the weapons would fit extremely well, for Kratos to pass on the matle/torch to his son. Maybe Atreus can travel the Egyptian lands that eventually provoke Kratos to arrive through the same vision as Fey w Ragnorak. (I just completed Valhalla a few hours ago, started GOW 2018 on 3rd of Nov/24...) So I also wish to add that, Traversal in GOW:R was much more Dynamic than in GOW(2018), but still they should make the Traversal a fine breeze by adding the ability to jump, it is so frustrating to walk across a plethora of platforms just to reach the ground a few feet beneath you, (kept in mind that said ground area was already unlocked, and not meant as a puzzle to reach...) He is Kratos after all, he can make a Jump of any proportions, but all I am asking for is a few Dozen Feet! What does anybody else think?

since he made peace with himself and assuming he finally integrated his existence in the norse pantheon, i want kratos to finally be able to wield magic again, shapeshift his appearance to look a bit younger, reshade his tattoo brighter, shave his beard to a goatee (or have it as a toggle feature in game) and finally get his v-taper physique back (dont mind him being bulky honestly, just miss the leaner look ever since we got the younger skin after valhalla)

Actually have Atreus run into Deimos and they both travel around in search for the giants together, just to later on find out Deimos is Kratos little brother, his uncle.

I've seen a leak once that said we're gonna be able to sail a ship in the next game. I think Atreus is gonna be in the game as well because in Ragnarök he said that he wants to sail away from everything. So either Atreus is gonna be a companion again or we're gonna play as a matured Atreus.

I would love to see Atreus go to Greece, discover Rome and its pantheon gearing up to invade and conquer Midgard, and go from there. Especially since Rome had gods from multiple pantheons, I think it makes the most sense

I wouldn't be surprised if Egypt was the next pantheon we go to. There's been more things pointed torwards Egypt than any other place. First off, they were originally going to go to Egypt before they decided against it. There was also items from Egypt that were shown in GOW 2018 (which I understand could argued that they were more of an easter egg) the head piece that Arteus tried wearing in Tyrs vault, the scarab beetle jewel or whatever on the table in the vault as well. Also, when Sindri was digging through his bag to find something for you, he pulls out a sacrificial knife from Egypt. Tyr had hieroglyphic tattoos on his arm as well. Also, i think it would make sense that Egypt would be a perfect next location because of the simple fact that Atreus can turn into animals, as well as that a handful of giants had went fled to other lands, such as Thiazi, a master shapeshifting giant, which if you know at least a little of Egypt mythology, would help his transition into those lands being that they worship gods that resemble, at least partially, animals. Side note, if Thiazi is that masterful in shapeshifting, maybe he CAN shape only parts of him, like his head, into an animal. And this last one I can remember was from Kaptain Kubas video about the painting in Sindris house (GOW Ragnarok) where it shows a boat heading towards somewhere. The somewhere looks like sand. Where is sand? Egypt.

There is NOT gonna be a 3rd game after ragnarok, the creators confirmed this already! The story ended perfectly after valhalla and covered every bit of nostalgia from the old games. There's absolutely no way they will continue this down another realm like egypt or Japan in 1 game! The most they'll do is remake the old ones

Combat is tough. All through 2018 and ragnarok I felt nothing was missing. If anything the added shield complications through too much into the mix. I missed the old shield system from 2018.

The GoW shows Kratos washing up on the shores of Egypt after GoW3 (which makes sense as Egypt is on the opposite shore of Greece across the Mediterranean )’ so a GoW in Egypt would be a prequel to GoW 2016 and a sequel to GoW3

Id love Kratos to discover the Celtic mythology pantheon, I'm biased as I'm Welsh but there's some very cool, not very well known Gods and lore there which would be great for others to discover. Of course Egypt would be amazing too but so would Aztec! So many options, I just don't want Kratos to die and Atreus to take over the "God of war", I like the kid, loved his parts in Ragnorak funnily enough, but Kratos will always be my God of war.

I think you have your gods mixed up. Anubis is actually one of the prominent deities that kept evil out of Egypt who not only weighed your heart but carried your soul to the afterlife. You’re probably thinking of Set who betrayed and murdered his brother Osiris and scattered his bod parts throughout Egypt.

If Kratos or Atreus heads to Egypt for the next mainline game as the lead protagonist like everyone is theorizing then I think Bastet should be the secondary lead heroine and yes she can fight as the myths state that she is one of the primary guards to her father Ra during his nighttime voyages through the underworld and is usually the one who kicks the ass of the villainous serpent deity of darkness, chaos, and destruction Apophis. And her domains are The Sun, the Moon, Motherhood, Healing, Perfume, and Protection with it being stated that as the Goddess of Protection she is sworn to protect mortals from the things that threaten them including diseases, natural disasters, vermin, evil spirits, and monsters so for a God of War series set in Egypt it wouldn't be surprising to the feline goddess team up with Kratos or Atreus and join them and serve as their guide throughout Egypt due to a common goal in wanting to protect innocent mortals from a great threat. And for gameplay given that Bastet is a Cat Goddess it can be real easy to make a moveset for her based on that and some of her domains she is said to represent in the myths aka she's a swift fast fighter who relies on swift, speedy attacks with her claws, hand-to-hand attacks, and the twin knives or daggers she's seen wielding in the hieroglyphics that depict her victory over Apophis, along with having special Pyrokinetic, and Cyrokinetic attacks to represent her being a goddess of the Sun and Moon, she can heal Kratos or Atreus's wounds and remove debuffs and harmful status effects when needed due to her domain of Healing, being the Goddess of Protection means she can during battle summon barriers and buff herself, and Kratos or Atreus, and even her being the Goddess of Perfumes can lend to fun gameplay as we can easily being the Goddess of Perfumes means she can use her knowledge and mastery of creating perfumes to create smoke bombs that can hit enemies with various harmful status effects and debuffs. And for allies the two can encounter those can be Horus as a reluctant ally, Thoth who Kratos encountered in that one comic set in-between GOW3, and GOW: 2018, Isis, Hathor, and Ptah the father of her son Maahes due to being a god of craftsmen can easily serve the same role Brok and Sindri did in the Norse games that being the one who upgrades the gear of Kratos/Atreus and Bastet, and we can see Maat the goddess of justice, law, and order show up as a reluctant ally. As antagonists we can have Apophis as the overarching main antagonist who wouldn't be stopped until the final game in the series, with Set as the main antagonist for the first game, Sobek can be a recurring antagonist as the crocodile god is usually seen as a antagonistic figure, the Nubian lioness war goddess Menhit can easily be a major antagonist for any of the games for a series set in Egypt possibly even the main antagonist for the second game since she's usually depicted, a bloodthirsty figure who takes great delight in causing great slaughters and massacres, and we can even have Bastet's sister Sekhmet the lioness goddess of war and medicine as a tragic antagonist that Kratos/Atreus, and Bastet reluctantly fight, plus we can have that new more villainous version of Athena show up as the overarching main antagonist for the Egypt games if we don't want to go with Apophis. And if we want to bring closure to the whole Brok's Soul getting destroyed on a happy note we can easily have as a major side-quest chain Bastet taking Kratos/Atreus to see her cousin Anubis for help as she knows he has the capability of repairing a destroyed Ka so the individual in this case Brok can finally go onto the afterlife but Anubis despite Bastet being family has a our protagonist duo do a series of tasks for him in exchange for him repairing Brok's Ka so the heroic and noble dwarf craftsman can move onto the afterlife as the canine god of the dead would put it "You see Bastet repairing the Ka of this craftsman your companion is friends with this Brok so he can move onto into the land of the dead is something I can easily do but it's a task that can't be done for free as your son's father is aware of crafting a great work or repairing a destroyed work is a task that requires the one requesting it to have some sort of payment in exchange for the task hence why I'll do this request and repair Brok's Ka so he can move on into the land of the dead but in exchange as payment you two will do some favors for me a fair deal is it not."

I think they should one spin off game with Atreus going into japanesse or Chinese mythology looking for giants maybe even helping to stop something thats happening, like maybe Sun Wukongs journey to the west. In another, they could send Kratos to egypt and maybe the gods from there are trying to start a war with other patheons to raise their power and influence. Kratos Freya Mimir they all head over to stop it but in the mist of battling and traveling they meet Atreus and team up to stop this threat. The man point of this if they so include would be the lovecraft monsters trying to come into the world or if you wanna try pull the literal Devil out of the true hell to influence and start the apocalypse
