That is the attitude of typical Hindu liberals. They will go out of their way to protect Muslim conservative rights at the same time want all the Hindus to become linberals and make Hindus feel guilty of practicing their religion. Barkha great example of left Hindu linberals I don’t have problem with liberal ideology. But don’t thrust only on Hindus and make sure Muslims are protected at all times .

Sanjay Hegde is wrong. I clearly remember it being a law in many municipal corporations across India where all business owners need to display name and address on a display which is clearly visible to everyone visiting or passing by the shop. This law has been there since many decades now.

The race for sounding secular is sickening. Rahul Ishwar takes the cake by giving the example of Ayappa Temple to show secularism in Kerala. Why doesn’t he talk about Malappuram and Kozhikode where Muslims are progressively becoming assertive and Hindus are feeling threatened. I respect all religions and believe in impartial co-existence but can’t digest the Indian perception of secularism which has become a political tool.

The right way for Yogi to accomplish what he is trying to achieve is to say that his request is to have each food server ascertain that the food is cooked in a religiously prescribed way. In Marathi house holds, its called "sovlyatla swayampak". It means you will wake up early, not consume anything , take bath through ritual ingredients, pray the relevant god all the while continuously cooking. Such food is consumed by people during religious festivals. So by definition while preapring this food, one has to take steps, including praying to relevant god, in this case it would be Mahadev. This way, the court cannot really oppose it, unless it also opposes Halal. You are welcome, Mr. Yogi! Har Har Mahadev.

How many houses do you check if they are cooking in a religiously prescribed way? And why enforce one religious practice on others? It is a personal choice and every person is entitle to decide whether or not he wants to follow religious practices. Jab bhooka garib khana khata hai tab vo nahi dekhta ki religiously banaya hoga.

@@asawanted What are you babbling about ? Poor people don't necessarily do Kawadiya yatra, and those who do, follow its religious prescriptions. I am not asking EVERYONE* to follow the religiously prescribed way, but those who believe in Mahadev will do it.... and declare that they have done it. FWIW only Muslims can't do it...since that would be a shirk in their religious code, and therefore it would achieve the objective Yogi is trying for, and court won't be able to oppose it, lest it also opposes halal.

This is the same Supreme Court which didnt like anonymity passed by the parliament regarding Electoral Bonds, now they are trying to overturn Food Security Act which says that the shop owner must disclose their name and workers while doing business. Why does courts run without any accountability?

Assuming Yogi Ji is not playing politics and doing it with good intentions, It means Yogi Ji is not administratively shrewd and competent to run the state and being CM. Such issues need to be handled comprehensively by bringing laws to state vegetarian and non vegetarian labels by state laws and not simply come with such orders during some religious yatras.

Halal means permissible for Muslims. It may be a means of earning, entertainment, businesses , real estate business, education, relationship, eating bird , animal, fish , vegetables/ grains etc. But unfortunately halal being referred only for non veg with specific techniques used while slaughtering the bird or animal.

I don't get what is the problem in this..its just a simple case where we want our food to be prepared in such a way that the people of other religions can't make..it should be prepared in a very pure way..but many a times we have seen some people spitting and even pissing in the food items so as to destroy the purity of food...if Muslims want their food to be prepared in their way(the halal food) what's worng with hindus wanting theirs? Are all these people not getting a simple issue and blaming it on the government?
