There appears to be some kind of direct political pressure.We are all blindly criticising the CBI team led by an experienced,reputed expert like IPS Seema Pahuja, by making derogatory statements. But,if we can all recall, we would realise it is CBI Team who had raised concerns like possibility of tampering and alteration of evidences, could be a part of larger conspiracy and a preplanned murder, seminar room may not be the place of occurrence of crime, financial irregularities may have been escalated by Sandip Ghosh in other state hospitals,etc. CBI had religiously submitted their status reports of investigations in sealed envelopes to Supreme Court, reading which ex CJI had remarked that the case is disturbing and he had not seen such a report ever in his 30 years of practice. This was seen in live streaming. We should think now as to what could be the possibe reason behind the same CBI team not taking much of an action now, unable to handover chargesheets, and has become silent despite of accusations,etc.? This could be perhaps because there is some kind of understanding between 2 political leaders of 2 political parties.CBI is probably under tremendous political pressure from the Centre,not to disclose big names. Political interference could also be the reason behind the withdrawing of a reputed and senior advocate as Vrinda Grover from the case. It seems to be all the more apparent because we did not hear the PM and Home Minister making a single statement on R G Kar case, which had shaken the country.BJP at the Centre is not in sync with state bjp.We saw the Home Minister, in his visit to Bengal at Petropol border, lecturing for 1 hour, asking people to vote BJP to power in Bengal in 2026, but could not spare 5 mins to meet R G Kar victim's parents who had requested a meet with Home Minister, without paying heed to state bjp 's requests regarding the same.It seems the only interest and objective of Central BJP is to get more members in the party from Bengal and to come to power in Bengal. They have got nothing to do or say against the gruesome and brutal murder and rape of Abhoya , which has shaken the world. Had the Central and State BJP joined unitedly to find out the criminals , Abhoya and her parents could get justice. The state govt did not give CBI NOC for issuing chargesheets as both Sandip Ghosh and Abhijit Mondal were state govt employees, and hence NOC was required from state govt . Moreover, several doctors of RGKar are involved in the crime, and their counterparts,nurses,staff,etc must have been well aware as to who all are guilty, but they have chosen to stay tight lipped and not cooperate with CBI.They are rather interested to criticise CBI. 3 things to ponder on... 1st, is IPS Seema Pahuja feeling uneasy (which is natural )to interrogate another IPS officer, Vineet Goyal,who is directly connected with the case ? Or, she has been asked not to, due to political reasons? 2nd, the CFSL report was handed over by the team to CBI on 11th September, which may have been probably handed over to SC by CBI . So, none other than CBI and SC had access to the report. Then, why has CBI disclosed the report now ? And why CBI ignored the findings of the CFSL report ? 3rd, CBI had been continuously submitting status reports to ex CJI, who did not even hint or disclose anything,anticipating that it would jeopardise the investigation. Then why was no instruction /action taken by SC for disclosure of already submitted status reports or why nothing was advised by SC to CBI?? The lady doctor has been a member of every household since 9th August , after her brutal and gruesome murder. She had been the only child of lower middleclass parents, whose lives have been shattered. Whole of India prays that justice be given to her parents and actual criminals be booked.

Thanks for your interesting paragraphs and logic. This may sound negative but I followed the Trend of this investigation - there are more questions than answers. This means the transparency of the probe is highly questionable. In an environment where Cover Up by Authorities is not new, it is very hard to sit down and rationalize the events of the past 4 months. Only to say that a --1----A Massive plot was planned to Sadistically Murder . ----2---A massive plot is on going to Cover up, to Mislead and Fake / Forge . Barkha , first of all let me say that just like you I too have been following this tragic case and there is no doubt that it’s a horrific incident. But at the same time I too have questions pertaining to this issue. Why was she the only one to have been a target for this when there are other young women who have been working and are still working in the same hospital premise? The first lawyer Mr Bhattacharya was asked to leave the case by the parents and the relatives of the girl and vrinda Grover joined in as a lead advocate. Now we hear that Ms Grover has withdrawn from this as well. What could be the possible reason/s for this decision that makes me wonder if there is something in the closet that we don’t know of. Being empathetic is humane but logical explanations are somewhat more important. Maybe there is more in the case than what meets the eye?

If you don't know just check the facts. As for the lawyer mrs. Grover she was handling it very poorly. The victims parents said repeatedly that cbi is not informing anything regarding the case even after sc order. They were highly disappointed as the two main accused in tampering evidence got bail. It was duty of the lawyer to raise concern legally but she didn't do it instead she ditched the case . So I think there's no mystery why victim is not getting justice except you wish turn an blind eye to the actual reason.

Again read just now, that although CBI has already issued chargesheet against sandip ghosh for financial irregularities, but trial still cannot be started because state govt is not issuing NOC.There are several cases pending before CBI , where trial / chargesheets cannot be issued because Chief Secretary of state govt is not giving NOC, because state govt officials are involved.

Barkha, don't know whether you know or not, when Sajay Rai was brought to the lower court in a prison van, he had shouted telling journalists that he has been framed, that he is innocent,etc, that the ex CP had pressurized him. This we saw and heard on television. From the next day, he was brought in with a convoy where Sanjay Rai could not be seen, with noise proof windows ,Kolkata police started honking continuously and tapping the top of the van so that even if Sanjay tried to divulge any names to media, he cannot be heard. Can u say why ?? What was so fearful ?

This fellow being a legal professional is just dragging the issue towards political gossip, rather than talking in the professional context as to whether the top court of the State I.e CHC was out of its Judicial propriety in handing over the investigation to CBI from KP after 5 days of the crime??... In that case, he should have gone to the SC to abort the CHC's decision for ordering CBI enquiry with the allyby that KP was competent enough to handle such investigation and getting the culprit/s to book. Other point to ponder is that even if CBI was asked by CHC to take up the task, it did not exempted the KP from providing quality input and clue in cracking the nut. On the contrary, what was palpable was that the local police & administration washed of their hands and kept harping on the credit of getting hold of the lone accused, who had been seen shouting publicly that he has been made the scapegoat...! Another hush hush effort of dealing with the issue appeared to be in holding the trial proceeding In Camera. What could be the reason? when the civil society feels if the Apex Court of the country conducting it's proceeding live streaming....😮

It's just history repeating, no heinous crime that has taken place in India over the years comes to a logical conclusion. The scene of the crime is tempered mostly by the police that it becomes hard for forensic experts to draw a conclusion. If there is a political involvement then all clues and evidence is wiped out . Our police forces are not trained to handle a case of street fight and we talk about crime of a larger scale.
