I tried out a really nice Boogie cabinet at the Gibson Garage that had a Creamback and a Vintage 30 in a 2x12 cabinet. The amp was a mk 7 and brother did it sound fabulous! I should have bought the dang thing. I went back and was told Bob Dillan bought all three amps and cabs that they had. Check out the Charlie Starr rig rundown on the Premier Guitar KZbin. Charlie run’s Germino plexi amps with two different type of Celestion speakers paired with an echo park tweed deluxe amp. It’s the BEST LIVE SOUND I have ever heard. I have Greenbacks and Creambacks into two different cabinets. I will try the mix n match soon. I think we all share the single coil pickup guitar kinda thing and Charlie plays a lot of P90 and Esquire. Maybe when you get the JTM studio you can run it in parallel with the SV plexi and do a comparison video. lol…the Tweed stuff pairs really well together with the Marshall. Thanks again for the videos.

@@Hiline1970 I didn't have these Mojotones for very long, really didn't like them. Went back to a Greenback 25M60hz but this time paired with a G12H3055hz in the bottom. Much better! I also own a Creamback 2x12" cab that I like and the combo version of the Studio JTM. I'm planning to use the Studio JTM paired with my Z-Wreck Jr with a 1x12" Greenback 25M for a new project... with a Junior and an Esquire. Charlie Starr is totally right and I caught the bug too.

You might see if the intonation on that D string is a bit flat. I use the BV series and especially love the BV25m through the Maz18. Been experimenting with detuned cabs, wondering if you've heard of that since we use similar equipment? It started with my horizontal 2x12 having the ability to plug in to just one side or the other. I soon realized I could have a cab for the M and a cab for the H (The V is currently in the Twin reverb) for the Dr. Z or the Plexi to choose from. 1 speaker in a closed back 2x12, kind of controversial whether it's placebo I guess. Possible video idea anyway, my interface is broken anyway lol

I own a 212 cab with a green back and a anniversary too, you actually suggested them to me😅 I do have an itch for a used v30 though

@@melexdy this video wa shot in April last year. I didn't have the Mojotones for very long. They sounded okay when recorded, but very brittle and harsh in the room at volume. Went back to the Celestion Greenback M, but instead of the Anniversary I've put a H30 with 55hz in the bottom. Similar, but a bit more vintage sounding. Personally I'm not a big fan of V30s, but I prefer the V-Type that Celestion makes for Marshall, as the high mids are a bit more relaxed than the regular V30.

@@StevenAnthonyGuitar I'll probably find a used v30 eventuality. Problem is there are so many variations and I'm only after the newest model. The sv20 is unforgiving when it comes to treble
@StevenAnthonyGuitar4 ай бұрын
@@melexdy if you want to tame the treble, then a V30 is really not the answer in my experience. They are way smoother with Greenbacks. If you haven't, try plugging into the normal input and patch it into the high input, instead of the other way around.

I did like the sound but I'm just set in my ways. Nothing beats the sound of a green back and v 30. Though I would like to try a good cream back if I was going to change anything.

@@kevennorcross1225 I took too long to try a Creamback and I turned out to like them better than I expected.
