The seer and seen are not 2, there is only the awareness. What appears unto awareness is only that, an appearance. Forgetting himself, the individual wanders as many things, thinking himself to be the thing, thinking I am this, I am that. Knowing I am that I am, that is unsullied knowledge of the Self. Retaining this awareness one becomes the seer and knower, no longer the doer of the action. This creates no karma, no memory or footprint and begins the process of liberating Atman from the sensory experience. The nature of the outward bound mind is the sensory experience and in this state all sorts of sufferings come in the form of desires and attachments in the name of identity. A man in his final lifetime is the rarest of men. Saintly men many times experience rebirth because of the slightest of slips of mind. One saint wanted to know the experience of marriage and wondered about the experience some saints were getting from smoking marijuana. These 2 ideas in a lifetime of purity are enough to make for another birth. Ramana Maharshi is one example of a final birth. Early unfounded enlightenment followed by Samahdi complete. Having been brought back to bodily awareness by a person finding him emersed while the body was being eaten away, he took a bit of money and caught a train to his grave, Aranachula. It was the last bit of money he would ever touch getting there and he remained there embodying silence until he left his form in 1950. Just the image of him, any old footage and one can clearly see a fully realized being, casting no reflection, suffering no thought process. A true inspiration and great teacher. If only people could have realized his teaching was total in the silence alone. He spoke eventually out of compassion to those who could not realize the silence as truth and gave them self enquiry.. You most likely are well aware of all this, don't mind my rambling, glad just to know another being found their way out of suffering an identity
