Last year (2021) as i was watching a match during Inter-Ward tournament a guy sitting next to me told me "you see those boys approaching towards us? Those guys are the selected players to represent Dr. T Ao trophy from Mokokchung." After the Inter-Ward tournament was over i heard that 4 or 5 players were selected. I'm sure for this year's edition as well there was no selection process through any proper trail means or whatsoever. Let it be a lesson for all of us. - Every District HQ. should be provided artificial turf. - Unbiased Players selection should be done via scouting during village level, range level or block level tournaments. - Selection of players has to be made at least 1 month before the tournament and let them train in the turf ground for one month. -Players should be trained on Physical Fitness level as well besides their regular football skills. - The head coach of every district has to be a holder of minimum AIFF 'D' Licence. - Grassroot level football camp/ academy should be introduced. Only then, we can see the quality of our football improve and compete in National level.

Once a football team, went to play a prestigious tournament. The team happened to travel some kilometers, in order, to reach the ground. So while going on their way, they halt at a truck parking spot, for refreshment and so on. On seeing, the team, the truck drivers, requested the team for a friendly match.
