amazing vlog brother. Taktsang is so beautiful. the hike is really challenging for us, people of plain areas but still it is filled with breath-taking views of the Paro valley. Seeing u enjoy ur trek makes me eager to visit Taktsang Monastery again for the second time. And as the wise one says, its not about the destination, its about the journey.

Bhutan Tourism Council - quite surprised to know that even a monk has to pay this steep fee of 2000/- for visiting a monastery! This is like collecting a fee from a Doctor before entering a Hospital. This does not sound ethical nor logical moreover it gives a bad name to a sacred place and portrays a wrong message of Bhutanese people not being respectful towards people who have devoted their life to religion, you could clearly see in the video that the monk was not at all aligned with the idea of him paying for visiting a monastery. I would have felt the same if I were in his shoes.

I genuinely feel Nu.2000 entrance fee for Indian visitors are little excessive …it should be at least between 500-1000…Hope govt. will relook and amend accordingly..Anyways have a great stay in Bhutan..
@TheBhutanese.2 жыл бұрын
Sounds a bit expensive but we don't know what the reasons are behind. The government wouldn't unnecessarily levy huge amounts without any reason. It is for the good of the country I suppose, and if it is we need to support the governments initiative, after all it is for the country. Regarding Jaigaon Mirrors, pls do not trust that media. Its broadcasts are mostly against Bhutan.

@@tashiwangdi261 Even if Indian government reciprocate in same manner, the loss will be on the their side only.Most Bhutanese go to India till Jaigaon only, that too for shopping. Bhutanese doesn't go down for sight seeing, it's just shopping and we are paying Indians directly while shopping which covers major chunk of the Bhutanese money outflow. But Indians come in not for shopping but to enjoy the natural scenery and old and unique tradition, that's their main focus. If you feel our natural and old and unique traditions are not worth the money they are charged, then I don't know what you must be thinking... Deeply analyse 🥺 please. It should make sense! Why is this Bhutan government charging them so high in everything. First for tourists 1200 per person, 4500 for self vehicles and 2000 to visit taktshang monastery. Though I am from Bhutan I am totally obsessed with this rule. We should not charge our neighbors that high. We are freely roaming in India without any fees. The real GNH country is totally growing with GDP again. No happiness country anymore. We are soo guilty to watch their video on the Bhutan trip. Now I don't want to say to my fellow friend that we are the happiest country. Why is Bhutan money minded now. Really sad to know this. So many rules are coming. I hope there won't be time to charge foreigners for clicking pictures of Bhutan people and culture like the strict rules set by North Korean We are fearing like our country is soon gonna become a North Korean one on a fine day. I am so sorry for the guest for all this new rule. Life before COVID for us and foreigners was better than today after COVID.
