Totally hear you~ I ended up never changing the song from its original structure for a few reasons. It was the first song I wrote when I got sober and it was like almost all I could do to get it out as it was- I feel maybe a personal attachment to its simplicity in that way. I also really love performing it live and because it is rather simple, I’m really able to dig in and feel it, and it always gives me the gift of remembering how far I’ve come in these last six years. Thank you for watching and for your words- I’ve definitely got some fun stuff on the horizon, keep ur eyes peeled! 🧡

It’s tough sometimes- my songwriting is all personal/life-based and I was in really rough shape when I wrote this some six years ago… in a way, I wanted to keep the song simple as its form further symbolized how stripped down and hollowed out I felt at that time.
