Around the time I first got into Molchat Doma, I got stranded in town a few miles from my house (which is in a pretty rural area), and ended up just walking home desperate to get home before dark, and I listened to Molchat Doma the whole walk home. Ingrained in my memory was making it up the last hill and seeing the sunset while listening to Tancevat. My house was just around the next bend, but I was tired, being a lazy person who just climbed a series of increasingly steep hills, so I sat down and listened to the rest of the album as the sun set, happy I didnt have to walk through both empty fields and the sketchy small communities at night. I got inside my house just as it got dark enough I had trouble seeing. At the time it was just a stressful and blister inducing walk along narrow roads with some pretty views, but now I see that evening as the time I came to love this band

Такие люди пребывают в оцепенении и им трудно расшевелить самих себя, да и не хочется. Разумеется она ушла и у него осталось только его "я", квартира и скрип половиц. Это уже немало. Ведь если ты в депрессии, но у тебя есть крыша над головой и возможность послушать грустные песни в интернете, значит всё не так уж плохо на сегодняшний день. Главное самому остаться у самого себя )

It inspired me to study Russian history and the Cold War, as well as the Russian language itself. It's very cool stuff.
