I'm going through the same. As soon as I mentioned insane fatigue, they suggested antidepressants 🙄. Then I explained to that it is not that, so they started testing me for varying cancers. It's been two years of testing. Now I'm really struggling to breathe which is a more recent symptom in 2024, and I'm leaning toward it being mold. Here is to our recovery 🙏🫶

We had creeping black mold in a house we rented for 6 years. It began in a 1/2 bath, and took tiles off the wall. When reported to the Building Inspector and Health Dept, we were told it was not a threat to our health. When we moved out a few months later, we found mold 4 inches up the wall where my my Mom's bed was and on the wall behind her dresser. One side and the head of her box spring and mattress had turned black. She ended up with severe breathing issues, but everyone assured us it was NOT from the mold. She was diagnosed with COPD before she passed.

Insurance companies and insurance defense attorneys are the two sociopathic forces that have worked hard to cast major doubt on mold toxicity as a health condition that can be quite serious. Research the background on this - the New York Times journalist who investigated and exposed the two doctors and insurance defense attorneys that fabricated a formal medical opinion stating that there is no proven connection between mycotoxins and health problems. The defense atttorneys were hired by insurance companies to make a plan of defense against the avalanche of mold exposure personal injury lawsuits. The 2 doctors each made between $400,000 - $500,000 per year testifying all over the country as expert witnesses for the insurance companies in mold litigation lawsuits. (A prominent insurance defense attorney I knew called doctors like this "whores for hire" and said they can always find a doctor to testify the way they want them to.) The NYT journalist also learned that the 2 doctors were not experts in mold toxicity and that it was the defense attorney that wrote the "medical" paper the doctors put their names on!!! This sociopathic fraud should be illegal. The EPA has not been helpful, either. They have issued a formal opinion saying that EMRI tests are not reliable and the FDA has been unwilling to approve the urine mycotoxin tests. Roadblocks and disinformation are thrown down all over as people suffering in mold infested buildings deal with condo boards / property managers spouting off the bogus medical opinions of no proof mycotoxins cause health problems and dismissing the validity of testing indoor mold. I found black, orange and off-white mold growing all over 3 main water line handles coming into my condo through the basement wall between me and my neighbor. The condo board refused to have the mold tested. It was disgusting! I was brushing my teeth with the water that came off the line with the most black mold! They sent a dimwit plumber who wiped the mold off with a paper towel, through that into bathroom garbage can, replaced a washer he claimed was the cause of the mold growth he dishonesty declared to be harmless. The water handle mold spread spores on my HVAC duct lines which were underneath the water handles, and I found orange and white mold growing on the seams of those ducts. My health problems flare when I run the A/C and the furnace. After this plumber idiot left my symptoms were dramatically worse for the next two days (had to run A/C because hot out.) Yet I'm being cast as the "hysterical" and overreacting woman over all of this. Maybe a call to the health department is in order. So - how does one prove their health problems are related to the indoor mold? My allergist has stated that in his professional opinion, after testing me for over 70 things and all of my personal care products, that I am only allergic to certain types of mold, and that based on my documented history of living in a building with at least 5 different types of toxic mold in the attic, on the main line water handles, and likely in the walls that my condo board and property manager refuse to properly address, that I have "abundant evidence" that my health problems are due to the toxic mold in my home / condo building. Health problems: asthma, skin rashes, allergy symptoms - sneezing, itchy dry eyes, running nose - plus brain fog, headaches, exhaustion, odd pains, irritability and overall fatigue. I thought that the non-allergy symptoms were related to an old auto accident. Now I wonder if the mycotoxins were causing or at least contributing to them. This inability to find doctors that have knowledge of mold toxicty besides naturopaths that don't accept insurance, is incredibly frustrating and demoralizing. My allergist waited four (4) years to refer me to a doctor that is a national expert in mold toxicity - four years! By the time he did this doctor had retired and is at a university doing research. I could have walked to this doctor's office - he was that close! My allergist and his inept and insulting PA's spent four years throwing drugs at me that didn't help. Inhalers - anti-histamines - etc. Flonase is the only thing that helped maybe a little bit. It seems like the pendulum is finally swinging the other way and attention is being paid to this condition, it's legitimacy, and it's danger. My uncle knew a man that died from untreated mold toxicity. As long as the medical profession, insurance companies, the EPA and FDA, and the sleezy insurance defense attorneys keep dishonestly denying the severity of mold toxicity it won't be properly addressed medically or in buildings where it is present. THANK YOU DOCTOR FOR THIS VIDEO!!! You have no idea how many people you will help by educating people this way.

Never defer your health to doctors or insurance. Take control and pay cash if you have to. 99% of doctors have zero knowledge about mold and I suspect it’s one of the most dangerous and common causes of many health issues. I avoid Most doctors, they’re dangerous and arrogant in their ignorance. Get out of mold. Sauna. Fresh meat ( many plants; legumes etc are full of mold and/or lectins and oxalates). Sunshine. Cannot see the mould but i heard through the great vine that the previous tennant had to leave because she complained about mould. II had someone stay in the bedroom as they were on holiday and every day they woke up depressed ,stiff joints and was very angry all of the time. I told them I think it's the bedroom causing this They had to sleep with lavender oils and dehumidifiers etc they finally had to leave and stay somewhere else they are much better in their moods. My son is the same if he sleeps in his room he wakes up shouting. Once they go outside and myself goes outside we feel much better. Good video. I do not recommend UV ever - but if you want the best location, put it to shine on the wet coils to prevent both bacterial and fungal growth - these do NOT grow on the filter - the air movement is sufficient to prevent growth - and dessicate to the point of inactivation or death. Remember- no matter what, we REMOVE mold, we dont' need to KILL mold. No disinfectants, no gimmicks, no oils, no ozone, no hydroxyl, no PCO, no fogs...

Mold does not require only "cellulose" as a nutrient. Many species grow on other compounds, i.e., substrates. Such as on plastics, vinyls, wool, cotton, leather. and more. Please learn how and where mold can grow. AND - with regard to mold in HVAC dust - it will only grow if the dust is chronically wet or there is sufficient vapor. HOWEVER - due to the constant drying effect of the air moving thru the duct, it is even less likely to have growing mold. Most assessors and testers confuse the client by telling them they have "mold" in the HVAC, but what they mean, is there are "spores" - they need to clarify is it actual growth with a source of sufficient moisture.

There could also be an issue with the roof leaking water causing a severe mold issue. Take photos see if your states attorney, consumer help can do anything on your behalf. Also, contact your city and county housing to get help in obtaining emergency housing. No one should have to sacrifice their health and wellbeing because of a landlord's calousness and greed. Best of luck, take care. Blessings.

Regarding the mold air testing conducted by an inspector: the point of the testing is to see if there is a building defect that is causing mold. Its not to determine if there is/is not mold as mold is everywhere in the environment. Unless you live im an airtight house with s very good air filtration system and dont open the windows the outdoor mold levels will be at leadt equal to indoor.

Do you have a video on mycotoxins specifically? I'm detoxing right now from mold but my sensitivity is so high I can't even be around my husband even though he has showered and has new clothes. I suspect it's in his sinuses. It's in our new dryer so I can't even use that and am having to take my 2 outfits and sheets to the laundry mat. Will this sensitivity go away even when I can't get it out of our new house? I'm living by myself and seems like I can't escape it. Once something is contaminated, it won't come out!! It's so hard to find any information on the mycotoxin portion.

Dr Ozborne, I greatly appreciate your clear & no nonsense way of describing these disorders. I'm a LCH patient that believes that I am dealing with another 'spore born ' illness (have had Valley Fever that was encased in the immature white blood cells causing lung tumors the size of my fist). I've been dealing with the same symptoms but can not get a doctor to do anything except prescribe antivirals, antibiotics, steroids & inhalers. What can I do?

My question is, where do we start if we’re in the middle of exhaustion and feeling bad, needing to find a new place to move to and move, and in a place where we’re alone without family and friends to help? Suggestions on a first step or ways to enlist other people to help? Feels very scary. Partly because no one in my situation really understands anything about mold or what I’m going through.

Doctors don't say that mold isn't a problem unless you are allergic to it, it is well established that the spores irritate the airways regardless

I hear you say not to clean your own mold. What if the mold is in your possessions and your clothes, on your leather furniture, etc. Is that OK to try to do it yourself and what would be the best way to do it?

How do I avoid being discounted by my doctor? The cause of my symptoms are obvious. I had a window ac in my apartment. I was getting migraines and my cat developed asthma. I took the AC out and spent hours cleaning it. The next day I had a migraine and sore muscles. The day after increased pain from headache, sinusitis, coughing and sore throat. The doc said it might be a common cold. I took the Zyrtec prescribed and feel worse today. I've never had allergies. I believe it's over exposure and I just want treatment. The AC is gone.

Anything stored in bulk can develop mold and critters, which end up producing mycotoxins. I have brought home grains and nuts and soaked them in hydrogen peroxide water, food grade, with some of them developing mounds of white die off of critters. Whereas others haven't. Bulk foods can accumulate mold and pests.

Mr. Osborne, can mold exposure cause seizures? A few more questions, can yeast, mold spread through soil, can a windy day, a farmer harvesting churning the dirt cause a spreading unknowingly? Can it cause blindness?

Let's be clear with our definitions - "mold" and "yeast" are NOT synonyms. And should not be used interchaneably. They are both fungi. But importantly have different morphology and ecology.
