How long before the rust that's still under the rear windshield comes back since since you didn't pull the glass to repair under it?

We put acid on it , then 2k epoxy. The repair will out last this car 100%

I really wish the steps to do this was explained i paid honestly about $700 Australian dollars on flares that didn’t fit and I drilled in multiple holes in the flare and into my guard to make it sit properly but I am thinking about putting gold dress up bolts and blind rivnut inserts all the way around the flares to keep it in place and then thinking about moulding it ontop what do you think?
@TheSubieSanctuary2 жыл бұрын
Damn eh, these were like $300 and he definitely got what he paid for with respect to fitment. These would never ever have had a chance to fit good without molding. You could mount yours and panel bond them on then fill over your holes. Thats how we did these after chopping them up to actually become close to the proper shape
@GIXXRBRAH7502 жыл бұрын
@@TheSubieSanctuary what should I cover up the holes with?? Panel bond the holes and the arch? Of the flare
@TheSubieSanctuary2 жыл бұрын
@@GIXXRBRAH750 we used the panel bond to fill the holes that we attached flares with. Panel bond can be sanded
@GIXXRBRAH7502 жыл бұрын
@@TheSubieSanctuary ok awesome and the panel bond will also keep the flare stuck on? And how can I mould it to look like it’s part of the guard? Just use panel bond

@@GIXXRBRAH750 panel bond will primarily attach it to the car. Then for finishing you will use body filler

What size spacers you have on the car ?
@TheSubieSanctuary Жыл бұрын
There was none at the time, he has since lowered it more and added spacers. I think 15mm, these wheels were already pretty wide. Which is why i think he wanted the flares

I don't have the time, space or funds to touch it anymore since I am a full time student and working full time. If you're interested shoot me a msg! I am not asking for much at all. It'll be a cool addition to the channel also!
