I wouldn't call this molecular adhesion, because at the molecular level, not microscopic as you're showing, the only physical property that's really being taken advantage of is friction and maximizing it. Now, if the tires themselves were coated with a compound to make them sticky intentionally, something that would adhere to the track as it ran, that would be a good example of molecular adhesion.
