RNA does not serve as genetic material, instead, it serves as an adaptor, an enzyme, and aids in protein synthesis, among other things. RNA serves as a messenger for the transmission of information.

That's not mistake. RNA also acts as genetic material in Many viruses and retrovirus. So, both DNA and RNA can act as genetic material. However in most of the organism, DNA is genetic material. RNA is rarely found as genetic material in viruses, and also RNA do many other functions as you mentioned.
