So effectively the molecular sieve was in an environment with twice the ammount of water. You could come to the conclusion that silica absorbes more per hour.

It would have been a lot more useful to compare the weight per hour of silica gel vs molecular sieve, processed in parallel in the same conditions. This "head-to-head" competition is pointless and means nothing. There is no practical application for transferring moisture from silica gel to molecular sieve.
