She's not going to use the Hohner's basses when the other box has helikon basses. Besides that, there are plenty of accordionists in the Celtic, French Canadian, and Norteño traditions who seldom use the basses. I wouldn't say someone like Flaco Jimenez isn't a "true accordionist".
