I think the song really describes Molly's feelings..."There's always hope for Molly. That's the cruel thing." But actually I do believe that Sherlock loves her back. In his way. Yes, I am a Sherlolly shipper and I always will be.

Sorry, but at the end of season 4 are only Sherlock with John and Rosie, his own little family he chose by himself. Yes, Sherlock cares about Molly, but he loves her only as a friend. Just saying.

Because this is the story of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his best friend and family John Watson who solve crimes together and not a love story about Sherlock and Molly, which actually never existed.

Sherlock together with a woman would be out of character for him and contradict the original canon which says Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson without girlfriends or wifes who could mess up with their common adventures since the times of Conan Doyle.

haha, I knew I should have made a different user name! Anyways...as you'll notice, that comment was made a few weeks ago; well before the tons of Sherlock-related research I've done since then. Before I found out that the writers do, in fact, have plans for a Sherlock/Molly story arc for the next series. It won't be the center of the series, and probably won't even culminate in a romantic connection yet. But you know, planting seeds and all that. Sherlock's gonna be a tough nut to crack.
