I was a teenboy in 1980, this music harks back to those days, the vocals here are strange but the sounds of the synths, drums are so 80's...great!!!!

I've loved this song since its release. The vocals give it another dimension to me. More sincere. It feels real.

This is such a sweet song. The vocal direction is intentional, and that's where the charm lies. Looking forward to the new album, love!

this has potentially been really misunderstood by many of the listeners,.. we can learn an awful lot from discomfort. Of course it is, in theory, nicer to indulge in something that sounds smooth and offers the ear pleasure, but it's always worth remembering how things that feel good can numb the senses. The levels of discomfort in her off-tune vocals offer us a high degree of acuteness and sincerity, and reflect how so much of life is about continuing on, coursing through the moments that make us feel jilted. It's cool.

Nadia Crocker what you described is called bad music, which is what this is. No one purposely does something to make them feel uncomfortable then say they enjoy it. This girl peaked a while ago. that charm of the first few things she put out are long gone

Molly stated in a show. That this is one of her favorite songs she’s ever written.
@blakesutley87624 жыл бұрын
@@ollieoxenfree2475 it is better (and a hell of a lot more authentic) than listening to fakers who use auto-tune. Have people forgotten about all the other popular musicians who can't sign in tune? Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Johnny Rotten all come to mind as historical precedents and yet their music still has its fans. yeah, we know they are singing out of tune. David Bowie even intentionally sang out of tune for a few of his songs (even though he was perfectly capable of doing otherwise). we still like such music anyways. Also "no one purposely does something to make them feel uncomfortable then say they enjoy it." Ever heard of Noise Rock or No Wave?

@@ollieoxenfree2475 I think she peaked on her first album. However, this song is the standard of her best songs. The only song of her most recent album I'd include in there.

I can't believe it's real And there's no other way around Getting used to this new feeling Will turn your life around I can forget, I'll forgive your regrets If breaking my pride Was all I ever needed Time Was all I ever needed What am I supposed to say When everything just sounds so cruel? Driving you away The friend I thought I saw in you I can't pretend that losing a friend Ain't aching inside All I ever needed Time All I ever needed All I ever needed I can forget and I'll forgive your regrets Breaking my pride All I ever needed Time All I ever needed It's alright if leaving Gives you what you needed It's alright But now it's all I got I can't pretend, facing the end Ain't aching inside All I ever needed As if, time Was all I ever needed Time Was all I ever needed All I ever needed

ruben teixeira Hi Ruben. I think I've made it pretty clear that I like her work, but this is song in particular out of tune and gets really annoying fast. Also, what's wrong with some good old elevator music? You are being just some silly lunatic that should be just ignored so we won't catch dumb dumb by talking to you, but we kind of fell bad so we acknowledge you sometimes.
