Splash damage is area damage with the highest damage output in the center of the attack, while dealing fewer to the surrounding. AOE is damage distributing equally in an area of attack. Gladiator would be dealing AOE, while Rocketeer would be dealing splash.

Things that you should know before playing on Derelict Outpost: 1. Splash damage is the best damage 2. Equip a tower but don't place it. This will allow you to see the enemies & the path. 3. Hiddens are LITERALLY hidden. All you see are their headbands when you use the previous tip. 4. Farming is so hard when the enemies are constantly attacking 5. Rewards are multiplied by 1.375. While this is an increase in rewards, you're still getting underpaid. 6. This is the hardest map. Infernal abyss is nowhere close to beating this map in difficulty. Infernal abyss has its paths link up MUCH earlier. But for derelict outpost, it only links up at the VERY END. And while derelict outpost does seem to have better rewards than infernal abyss (with infernal abyss they're not even making the effort to hide the fact you're being scammed), you have to deal with CONSTANT DARKNESS. It is the main reason why you should equip but not place towers. Zooming out makes thing even darker, moving your character to see more is bad because there are 3 paths & you can't see em all, and just so much difficulty is added when you can see very little. This is what I respect so much about this map: Normal mode is hard because it's super compact with practically no filler. Molten mode isn't hard at all. Fallen mode has tougher enemies. Hardcore has even tougher enemies & lots of immunities. Polluted Wastelands II, Badlands II, & Pizza Party all have the mutation modifier alongside other stuff. All of those modes just make the enemies stronger. But Derelict Outpost is the first and only one to make the player weaker & pair it alongside something that makes the enemies stronger.

I love how Derelict Outpost is the only map that makes the players weaker via nullifying their vision. Halloween 2023 is coming soon, so what if for this event, there are 2 maps (each has 1 path), and you have to run to each map as only one of them spawns enemies each wave. In addition to this, it’s very dark so seeing is very hard. And there are also distorter enemies that don’t move but imitate towers sounds. So you’re trying to know which map you need to defend while also not confusing a distorter as enemies.
