Coming into eurorack from the gateway drug of vcv rack, and having used Rampage a lot, I looked at that first. But this gives me a lot of what I wanted out of Rampage at a lower cost, and a bonus mixer. Thanks for the rundown. This vid helped cement the choice when I was ordering this here module I'm playing with for the first time.

Great demo. Using a delay trigger is a great way to "humanize" a groove. You can trigger a bass drum or bass track a little behind the beat and make a much more "fat" pocket.

Putting the module on a gooseneck holder and taking a shallow depth of field photo of it makes a great thumbnail for your vid, love it. You should check out after later audio's QARV module as a function generator too. Great vid.

Robin, I counted at least 6 NEW MODULES in your top case that you haven't reviewed for us yet ! Please review some of them at least. They look to be extremely interesting. Thank you for this lovely overview into the innovative processes of this Cre8audio multifunctional Module. You explained how to use each part of it, showed us many examples of ways to patch it. Truly, this Module seems to be a "must have" in everyone's Eurorack/Modular Case. Hóla~💥💡🎵👏🏽❗

Thanks Robin. The Pittsburgh Modular Voltage Lab has two function generators that are similar. I still see it in your unused rack.
@MoltenMusicTech2 жыл бұрын
Yes but no but - can i work out the ones in the Voltage Lab? No, not really. They are surrounded by a complexity that I find baffling - it's easier to use the ones in Maths. In the Funky Junk it's just there, easy and compelling so i'm finding it's not the same thing.
@petethomas10132 жыл бұрын
@@MoltenMusicTech they can be used separately from the rest of the Lab sections. I had to break down the sections of the Voltage Lab to learn it. You’re right, it can seem to be too much. I appreciate your channel.

Have no idea how I did it but just got Function Junction to basically be a delay of the VCF, but only during the release of the EG. I’ll take a photo of the settings but this is probably a one hit wonder. LOL

You should do a video with this and the West Pest and East Beast together. I almost have my home studio done. Hopefully it will be finished after this weekend. I purchased one of these tonight and I already have the East and West units. I would do a video but I have to learn how to. What software tools do you use to make your videos?

That’s a great piece of kit, and does a lot for the pretty low price. Could do the job of many modules in one go :) Don’t forget you have two AR envelopes on maths with cv module on rise, fall and the overall effect. But this would be easier to use especially live :)

Hey! I just ordered a Maths today cause everyone is aways raving about it. Is it really that hard to use? Debating on cancelling my order for one of these.
@MoltenMusicTech2 жыл бұрын
Maths is great but it’s not very defined. You can do a ton of things with it if you can work out how. I only ever used it as two envelopes. The funk junk does less but you use all of it.
@andewprod2 жыл бұрын
I got rampage by befaco which is like maths but with sliders.. and a little cheaper aswell. If you want a module that does a lot of stuff and dont put too much value into precise control but rather just want an LFO& ADSR& Function, the cre8audio is probably the one to go. If you want precise control over the functions and you are into experimental / generative patching then go with maths/rampage.

I know this video is old, but I hope you have figured out Maths now. This module is very much a reimagination of it. Maths has 2 of those function generators you like, except one is on left and one right. They just replaced one with the ADSR. Maths has 4 attenuverters, this has 3 and replaces one with the LFO. Maths has a few more tricks with end or rise, etc…. But is is very much the same thing. It is great though and I have one and maths and each are better depending…..
