Single mom Christy has her hands full with two children, Violet and Roscoe, and maintaining newfound sobriety, when her passive-aggressive, recovering-alcoholic mother re-enters the picture, brimming with criticisms about Christy's life. As the daughter works to be the best mother she can and to overcome mistakes she made, she must also navigate dysfunctional relationships with romantic interests, and with her irresponsible ex-husband, Baxter. Despite the uphill battle, Christy tries to remain positive and stay on a path to help her reach her goals.

I thought Beth is much much younger. Wendy in series seem to be in middle 40s but she is actually 10 years older. "Mom" was very funny, I love that it has mostly female cast and that it tackles serious issues and life events, even tragedies and it handles it very well. Compared to, for example, "Two and half men", "Mom" is a BIG step up.

Why didn’t you mention Allison Janney in the movie Lou which came out in 2022 on Netflix. She was amazing in that movie.

Some shows go on for like 12, 15, even 20 years, sometimes dragging a bit. Mom is one that should've and had the juice to last at least as long as Two and a Half Men. Seriously, it got the axe way too soon. Bummer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊
