I wish that DramatizeMe would publish the names of their actors for their productions. I also wish I could learn the names of the writers and directors. The actor that portrayed the powerful character of the mother, effectively and recently played such a character in a previous video. The screenwriters and casting have once again told a captivating story about a domineering mother, but with an interesting different twist to the outcome of the story. We may not like our ADULT children’s choices for a partner, but all we can do is give them our 2 cents worth & leave them alone, they have to learn things the hard way sometimes. However, it is perfectly understandable for you to feel a bit uneasy if your only son starts dating an older woman with a big age gap, as you already know that he won't have children in the future. especially if you are a single mother. You hope your son will have children to bring you happiness, and you don't feel lonely. If young people feel their parents are selfish for demanding everything in their lives, it's normal. I have experience with older woman when I was 18.. She was 38. I Won't go to detail but it ruined my life. I'm 30 now and I still Couldn't recover from damages I took that time. When I was 30, I had a boyfriend 22 yrs old. I was divorced, with a 2 yro child. He was my first real love with whom I learned the feelings written in books. Of course, his mother was shocked, but nothing to compared to his granny! I've never met her but she searched my parents, and showed up at their door, demanding them to make this relationship to cease. (Actually, she climbed our fence. She was old military personnel). My parents were more civilised so they invited her to sit and have a coffee and a chat. My parents were also vary about the younger bf but when this old lady called me a whore, they showed her the door out. Punch line: 8 yrs later this guy left me, and some yrs later married a woman, same birthyear as me, with a same old daughter as my son was. They had a son together, and her mom posed as proud granny with them on Facebook. Moral of the story? You decide.

There were many instances where I felt infatuated with men who're in their 50s. I am 29 btw. And though I know my parents would never accept such age gap in my relationships, I can understand why society kind of does (for those asking if the mother's reaction would still be the same if genders were reversed). Men, no matter what their age is can still procreate. They can still continue the family bloodline whereas women cannot if they reach a certain age. Most of the people also still have this traditional belief where a man is responsible to take care of the family so if he's financially stable despite the age, it's easier for some parents to accept the affair (although I am aware that in our generation now, we're trying to change that because women can have a career and be financially independent as well). But it's hard to completely remove that as it was the custom for so many years. Anyway, falling in love with people 20 years older than you is not impossible whether men or women. It's not always because we're looking for someone to financially support us but personally, it's because I just really find them mature and wise given they had so many life experiences already.

It's weird how she's against her son's relationship with the older women, yet she didn't mind such a relationship between herself and her former husband. What a hypocrite. I wish people would simply understand that, as long as the two adults are consenting and are in agreement of the relationship, then it shouldn't be a problem at all. No one likes to have others, including the government, dictating every detail of their lives. It's hypocritical to believe in this principle, while simultaneously dictating the lives of others. A lot of people really missed the boat when she brought up the, "Age is a number", philosophy. Instead of learning its actual meaning from the context in which it was used (the relationship between the son and the older woman), they somehow confused it with another, unrelated context, which involves a relationship between an adult and a child. 🤷‍♂️ The goal of using this philosophy in the context from the film, was the show how strong a relationship between two consenting adults can be, regardless of their age gap.

I'm sure glad that my wife and I accepted graciously the one that our son chose to spend his life with. Had we behaved one tenth as badly as the mom in the show we'd lost our son. The mom may end up losing her son.

The mom actually had a good point he would lose his mom and wife at the same time and she is ruining his youth he needs to find someone his age to live a long and happy live, it would be easier to break up now then fall in love and the get crushed when they die 10 years later it's not fair for him

yes..and that situation demands lots of adjustments. The older aged husband may not understand the young aged life partner's wishes and likes and may be to keep the marriage working wife would let go her desires that are very naive for her age...and you know what, the husband will get benefit during his young age as well as at his older age too! He would have 24/7/365 help if he is very sick! well, we see various colors of social lives in the society. Nothing is wrong and nothing is 100% correct.
