This makes me think of this cat I used to own. She was so petite that when her kittens were born, she was hardly bigger than either of them (she had 2), so she actually had a bit of a difficult time carrying them around... yet carry them she did, because they were her babies. I was rather flattered when she ended up hiding her kittens in my room one day.

yes and no, cats can get very very protective and fussy when you touch small babies like these, or meddle with the plans (rearranging pillows or whatever) or even stand near and watch... and with time they get almost indifferent, when kittens are 2 months old they can be energetic and exhausting for the parent, so playing with kittens, feeding them and so on becomes helpful

Просто ей надоело сидеть с котенком в корзине, хочется к хозяевам на мягкую постельку. А котенка не бросишь одного. Вот и отправилась на диван вместе с потомством, чтобы наслаждаться лаской и вниманием. И малыш рядышком и ему внимание и забота от всей семьи. Всем хорошо.

Моя кошка тоже так делала. Мне говорили,что кошки прячутся, когда собираются окотиться.Не наш случай,все должны были быть рядом. Потом разносила нам котят ,и мне,и мужу,дочке,сыну.Приходила с проверкой,не обижаем ли её деток.

Male cats can produce milk, most don't want to. Before we neutered our male cat, he was very popular with the ladies because he help feed the kittens. He became skeletal because he had 3 litters with 3 different females and adopted a couple of kittens, his younger siblings and his cousins (his mother and aunt had died).

There was cat in our neighborhood that had kittens and for some reason she brought them one by one and put them on our back porch. Being cat lovers that me and my family was, we set her up with a nice box for her and the kitten's. I guess she really appreciated that because the next she had a litter she did the same thing again. All the kittens were given to good homes.

У нас кошка ночью перенесла всех котят из домика к нам с мужем в постель. Пол ночи потратили на уговор кошки вернуть их назад, не получилось, Пришлось отделить часть кровати подушками для безопасности котят и оставить всю семейку до утра спать рядом. Незабываемая была ночка, хорошо что с пятницы на субботу. С утра перенесли домик в нашу комнату и кошка на этом успокоилась. А ещё шок был от того как она их несла. До этого я думала все кошки носят за шкирку, но у нас сфинкс, это не совсем кошки на мой взгляд, носила она их буквально за шею, тогда как их голова была у неё внутри пасти. Зрелище не для слабонервных.

@@ЭдгарЧен Сфинксы вообще любят спать с хозяевами под одеалкой даже летом. Потом мы поняли, что она по нам скучает, когда котята чуть подросли так и научила их всех спать с нами. Но тогда уже не так страшно их задавить было, большенькие. Из последнего помета оставили её сынка, вот у нас теперь 2 персональные грелки. Мужу спину лечат, мне живот. Они очень горячие по сравнению с обычными кошками и очень человекоориентированы, как собаки.

I think the mom cat means it too. Not once did she lay down beside the kitten to offer food. I think the kitten wants to eat and is seeking mom out for food, but I do not feel like mom cat wants to do that. It is like here you wanted me to have this, now you feed it.
