Spring Break 1970---- 5 college girls from NJ piled in an old station wagon and headed to Florida on Interstate 95 which was not completed in Georgia. We slept in the car not knowing where we were and we woke up to see that we were next to a farm with cows. We had the classic fun at Ormond Beach , Daytona, and Fort Lauderdale. I was always the nervous one and could not sleep if someone else was driving. On the way back everyone was sleeping when I was driving and I could not negotiate the beltway as it existed then. Soon I was driving by the White House and a few other landmarks----I was screaming for everyone to wake up!

Ahh you went to Fort Pierce! I live in Ottawa, Ontario but my family has a house in Hutchinson Island and we love going to the Tiki Huts in FP! We also love stopping at South of the Border on our drive from home to FL, I hope it's still there when I go back in November! I used to stop there every time we'd go to FL as a kid which was every year! Very nostalgic place for me and my family :) Great video as always!

I love your videos. I always take notes and save ideas for upcoming trips. I live in Miami too and it was cool being able to recognize everything in the beginning of your video. I definitely understand the traffic getting onto 95 north 😂 it’s always crazy in that area. I absolutely love that you’re traveling with your mom, beautiful memories. A few months ago I traveled with my son to ga, wv, Virginia, sc, nc, and Maryland. Now I’m currently planning a cross country road trip because my boyfriend is in Cali ☺️ your videos are inspiring and very helpful.

Wow Robert you were literally right by where we live at. I’m walking distance to that Cherry Hill RV park. There are much better restaurants not too far from there. I would’ve recommended Sardis which is a good Peruvian chicken place or if you like middle Eastern there’s Yia Yia’s right off route 1. I wish I knew you guys were nearby but I’m glad you and your mom had a great time in DC.
