Can’t believe the time went by so fast! My mom is now on her way back to USA. Can’t wait until next time.

Much respect to George’s aunt and uncle (?) for their hospitality serving you with 5 course breakfast meals. I hope you guys reciprocate their hospitality. Makenze, there is no way Aunty could have served you tea only while you are traveling! It’s a big no especially in the village. It’s a full course meal so you don’t get to feel hungry before you get to your destination!😂 Anyway, I got emotional seeing your mum leave. Journey mercies for momma...next time when you are in NBI go to Jamia lane next to Jamia Mosque for the tastiest mabuyu, kashata and other coastal dry snacks..There are many vendors who put their wares on the ground but there is one Somali lady who has a large stand and umbrella, hers are the best...plain or spiced and different flavours

Isn't just amazing how you can let kids go and play outside without having to worry about their safety? That is the beauty of Kenya, parents would dare leave their kids out of their sights here in Canada or America for that matter. I remember when I went back to Kenya my cousin's kids came from Salt Lake City and they couldn't believe how much freedom they had, they were allowed to go out and play with the neighbourhood kids and they came back in the evening.
