Both parties are at fault. The mom needs to understand the daughter is working, going to school and doing her chores. Cassie is practically acting like an adult. It’s not like she is taking advantage of her mom. However Cassie should try to tell her mom ahead of time if she is going to her friends.

Good story. Both ladies are right about communication, things work better when people talk to each other. I get the mother wanted to teach her daughter a lesson but locking could seem extreme. But the daughter has to know even though she lives with her mother, it’s still her mother’s house and she has to live by her rules. Like I don’t get why people think just because it’s family they can get away with a lot of things in their house when they can’t. I mean you know when they are at a friends houses or a strangers house you have to respect their rules. Same should go for family especially if it’s their parents house. No matter if it’s their childhood home. They are the ones who pay the bills and they have to make whatever rules they wanna make. Hell if I bet when kids move out on their own they would want people to live by their rules regardless if it’s friends, family and strangers visiting. Most grown should be grateful their parents let them live with them especially if they are living in their home for free. Some parents would make their adult kids living with pay rent to contribute to their household. Can’t blame them for that. Like the saying goes when you somebody else’s house live by their rules. If they don’t like it, they can get their own place and live by whatever rules they wanna live by

Controlling Mom was at it, telling her daughter Julie no " to Cassie's because we are having dinner", not wanting to trust the daughter that it might be a study session as well as catching up!!! What Mom is paranoid is there might be boys, booze and sex, she needs to trust her own daughter!!! Resolutions will be awkward, even with family reunions!!! Idk why parents feel like they should manipulate their kids in order to teach them a lesson. I get that actions speak louder than words, but sometimes it’s better to communicate your problems respectfully, bc you never know how someone will react. At the start, I was on the mom’s side bc Julie should’ve just told her the plan in advance so she’ll be ready for it. But later in the video, I slowly went more the Julie’s side bc the mom went too far by what she did to her.

The daughter told mom she was going over her friend's to study and she takes care of her dog. This mother was CLEARLY NOT listening. She overreactted and was a complute lunic.

Their not responsible for you any more. Your 21 yrs. That’s an adult. You should be out on your own. My mother kicked me out at 18 yrs. With nothing. I had a full time job and going to school with out a car. I had to do everything in the house and give her my paycheck. Plus, mind her rules while living under her roof. I got a apartment and moved out. I had to grow up fast. Much easier then. Wasn’t spoiled like this young lady. Today’s young people are spoiled. I bet her parents were paying for her college tuition too. And has a car to run around in. They don’t owe you anything after you turn 18 yrs. They have rights too. Your Lucky. The kids now days are so spoiled. They live with their parents well into their twenties because they can’t afford anything, to busy running around partying with their friends and spending their money on good times, and drugs. They don’t know what responsibility is. The girls get pregnant and the guys run away. Such is life now days. Who’s to blame? 😮😂 🤔Telling it like it is. Grow up!!! Know body said, life is easy !!!😎

I agree that we all have to grow up eventually, but what you said comes off as extremely judgmental and disrespectful towards people who still live with their parents into their 20's. People grow at different rates, but that doesn't mean that people who had it easier than you did are "spoiled".

@@OwenOgletree Reply to you Owen. What do you call it then? If they choose to stay at home, and the parents don’t mind taking care of them, more power to them. How about the young people who choose to go into the military?. What do you think about those that want to serve their Country at a young age of 18 years? Instead of partying into their 20’s and living off of their parents. What do you call them again? (Spoiled) I call it. I’m a Veteran, Woman who served in the military at their age. And willing to die for my Country. I bet they aren’t. (Momma boys, and baby girls who want sugar daddies to take care of them.). Seen it all at my age. 76 yrs. If you’re looking for a fight , join the military. I have my own opinion about young people now days and your not going to change my mind and thoughts and what I see 👀. Also, retired police officer woman. I say “grow up now 18 yrs.” If you’re old enough to make babies, you’re old enough to be on your own. ✝️🙏👵🏻. 🪖👮🏻

The moral of the story is: to have a good communication with your family. Everyone who keeps saying that the mother is strict, horrible and mean… clearly doesn’t know what it’s like to be a mother!!! It was so basic, had both the mother and daughter communicated properly none of this would have happened. Really….. does people think that “mothers” are mean and horrible??? Far out… so narrow minded. Mothers ALWAYS loves their children and wants what’s best for them. If there’s no rules, guidelines, boundaries etc…. Haha then I would love to see what happens to those kids growing up! This world is crazy as it is so the last thing you want is for your children to go off the rails…. Oh and yeah it’s easy to do… I’ve seen it all and mothers would never say or do anything to hurt their children (unless they are crazy). Look at the end of the story… see how well it could have been had they communicated. The moms are very loving and caring. NOT CONTROLLING. Mothers who don’t know how to control the situation often enough will deal with children run and muck anyways….

There is no such thing as a good reason to lock a child out of the house, your mother endangered you and is unfit to raise you.

Things like that would never happen if you just love and respect your parents. That 21-year-old woman needs to take responsibility for her own actions. This is a good lesson for people to learn.

honestly from the start of the video the daughter shouldve been more respectful to her mother, yes the mother was being extremely unreasonable but that doesn't make it okay for the daughter to speak to her in that manner, bc no matter what its still her mother. and although it is ridiculous for her 21 year old daughter to have a curfew at 10, she shld still respect her mothers decisions. and if she has so many issues with her mother , shouldnt she move out? she said she has a job right? just my opinion.
