They were classmates, the other little girl didn't die, they are showing how regardless of where you are in life, drug dealer or cop we all share that love for our children and nothing will change that, thats why they show the cop having breakfast with his daughter in the beginning too, it shows both sides of the story. Then he stops and thinks about what he has done, because his daughter is the same age and even attends the same school/class as J. Coles sister/daughter. Though we may be different in many we ways there are many more ways in which we are alike, we are human and we get so caught up in the moment or our jobs (war on drugs) that it is easy to forget that and tragedy occurs.

Hey the meaning behind "Crooked Smile" is for a young girl named Ayiana Stanely Jones obviously, but the thing is that it wasnt based off his new "4 Your Eyez Only" album for his friend that was different. Ayiana Jones was a young Black Girl who was actually killed in a Police Raid back in 2010 J. Cole only wanted to show her story and his point of view. So everything you see in the "Crooked Smile" video was from that incident, it had nothing to do with Cole himself or his friend on "4 Your Eyez Only"
