Not that hard on VQ's tbh: it's a high compression N/A motor with decent displacement, especially on single outlet exhaust as the pressure in the pipe is higher than dual exhaust outlet, and unburnt fuel will ignite quicker/escape with more velocity Had an Rx8, it was horrid on fuel efficiency being a rotary engine so the moment I hollowed out the cat, pops and flames for days, science is fun 🔥

I’d talk more shit but I drive a GTI and these things sound like tractors if you straight pipe them 😂 hence why mine isn’t. But that cold start revving hurt my soul. I’m so strict about not revving out my car until it warms up. I’m sure once or twice doesn’t hurt it much at all, but I like to be safe and do everything I can to make my engine last.
