I am a mother of a child with a mental disorder who sometimes rages. This 1st video is why I will never call the police when she is elevating in behaviors. The last thing someone experiencing a breakdown need is to be yelled at. You have to remain calm for both the victim and you. Many mental disorders are located in the frontal lobe, and this prevents the patient from being able to reason or stay calm. Mom even told them she hasn't been right lately and is suspected to have schizophrenia.

Mental illness explains behaviour but it doesn't excuse it. Hold people accountable for their actions, otherwise they will end up with a personality disorder in addition to their other mental illness.
@cristinaocasio70697 күн бұрын
@@ArtemisTSFnobody said she had a right to make someone else a victim. The “victim”, her mother, didn’t ask for the police to escalate and try for a felony charge when she asked for help for her daughter who was acting irate already. She asked for help for her daughter, not for herself. And this is what they got. Not everybody prides themselves on being a victim. The mother, instead of worrying about making sure everyone knows she’s a victim, is worried about helping her daughter.

The truth is...over 1,000 people a year in the United States are fatally shot by police officers, and people with mental illness were involved in approximately 25% of those fatalities. People with mental health disorders who encounter police tend to experience higher rates of criminalization, are subject to more police use of force, and sustain higher rates of injury and even de*th. The police are NOT medical professionals. They are NOT educated or equipped to handle such crises. When are people going to learn that there are deadly consequences when police lack proper training to handle mental illness calls? Nationwide protests over police accountability and racial justice have reenergized longstanding efforts to change how police departments respond to someone in a mental health emergency. Many are calling for removing or dramatically reducing law enforcement's role in responding to those crisis calls. Nearly a quarter of all people killed by police officers in America have had a known mental illness. Major injuries, too, are also common. There's evidence that violent encounters between police and people in a mental crisis are on the rise. Still, many police departments seem to be reluctant to use a widely-used program for handling mental health and substance abuse crisis calls, called "crisis intervention teams" or CITs, even though the programs have been proven to be very effective. Even some trainers of CITs now say that utilizing these services are poorly implemented by many police departments. You got to wonder why they aren't sending out those trained mental-health response units, staffed by social workers or crisis counselors, who could respond to mental-health incidents in lieu of armed police? It is deeply unsettling to realize that when law enforcement officers are sent to assist individuals in crisis, a significant number of these individuals tragically lose their lives at the hands of those who were supposed to provide help. 😡

@@sparklyyboozz no, but being an ER nurse for 30 years, I would’ve called an ambulance as I would’ve if I thought it was a heart attack. The paramedics could call for back-up if needed. This first woman reminds me.... I'm a war veteran. I had been diagnosed with PTSD from my experiences driving a tank on the front line. That was nearly 34 years ago. I don't get triggered anymore thankfully. I left my ex-wife just over 2 years ago. She got like the first woman too many times to count from the first year we were together. Inconsolable, angry and unhinged. Lashing out at me. The feelings I had 2 years after the war being exposed to war movies/TV are much akin to how I feel watching this. I'm just glad to know that PTSD does heal with time. I may have 34 more years left in me if I'm lucky, so I may be able to watch stuff like this without my stomach turning in knots after 10 more years apart. So that's good... I guess. I watch this type of content to remind me to stay single. I'm far happier alone, believe that. If your significant other behaves like the first woman continually, run, and fast. There is nothing you can do for a severely mentally ill individual sadly. We tried everything for 25 years to make it work. I do miss her, but I just can't live like that anymore. Why surr maam, lemme take them off right away for you! Would you like anything else? Case 5 - Micha Beating her momma was bad enough, then her entitlement through it all was cringy. Also "I didnt have any money" "I had $50 in my back pocket thats missing!" " i had $40 in my hand thats missing. He stole it!" " I had $40 in my hand that was on the ground and now its gone." Crazy how much that kept chqnging. Also her husband with the "what a man throws a woman onnthe ground. What a man!" comments. Typical bullshit enabler. Case 6 I cant imagine that poor mom. That first woman needed a mental health evaluation by a medical professional. She didn't need to be berated by the police. They absolutely 💯 should have called EMS!!!! The officer was more worried about "being kicked" than he was about helping that woman. A grown man whining, thats what that looked like.

First mom: you don't have to whisper schizophrenia. It's a medical condition not a curse word. Too many parents wait too long to get help because they think a child being mentally ill is shameful or a reflection on them. It's a medical problem. There's no shame in getting help for a medical problem. Don't hesitate because early intervention matters.

The Second girl i feel the cops were yanking her arm up like she said he was. I think he lied about the assult battery to an office. I didn t see anything like that. Yes, she did over react. If she would have stayed calm. Most times if u stay calm things go way better. Even if her mom was lying her staying calm makes her Mom look like shes over reacting.

The lady cop in the first video made the situation worse just standing over zoe shining a light in her face while shes clearly already in distress. I think the whole situation could have been handled better. Calm instead of confrontational

OMG the first and the last videos were heartbreaking to me but especially the last one where the 12yr old stabbed and killed her brother. I don't know if she really didn't know why she had stabbed him but the fact that she was hysterical and repeated she was sorry and didn't know why she had done it and even mentioned something demonic and then asking God to help her while she was in the back of the cop car seemed so genuine. I truly believe this child has some psychological disorder and she is definitely going to need years of mental help, as well as the entire family. I can't even imagine a mother being able to forgive their child for killing another child but I do believe for the mental sake of both their futures then forgiveness has to happen or it will crush them both! May God give them both peace and strength because this was beyond heartbreaking! 😢

First cop dousnt seam to wanna help. Gotta be more mature than that homie. You can’t take it personally when everybody hits you. When a person hits you with true Ill intent. Yes. Ofc. Being an asshole to a person going through a potentially world bending breakdown. Not okay

Parents and Citizens should have a legal right to call for help to get their family members to a hospital. When they can’t do it themselves.

Intoxication and schizophrenia are 2 different issues. One is a choice.

That choice can also make the other more severe, and it's not always a choice. Genetics play a role, as does environment, and the developing brain.

Yea, the mom doesnt get to dictate what help she gets. It probably just made matters worse for the daughter. I understand the parents need protection, but I believe the mother thought she would get help she needed, this i think is just going to cause more issues.

Zoe's mom...really? Police roadside diagnosis and treatment for what is obviously not in their lane of work. So she gets arrested, court orders mental health evaluation, drug evaluation is done if indicated. If found guilty, treatment comes with probation or jail (if available in lockup). Or it could have been a priority of yours since you are so sure what she needs.
@heidijohannes427114 күн бұрын
Sending her to jail for a felony for kicking the officer is not doing for her the best that they can do. She needs help
