I can’t help but feel like hospitals should enforce mandatory DNA tests before allowing someone to leave with a baby, to prevent a kidnapping or an accidental swap. If the DNA doesn’t match, then either a doctor or one of the biological parents could explain the situation. In that case, it would most likely be that the parents decided to give the child up for adoption.

@cute2neko that isn't a matter of control. It could be some sort of instantaneous test done right there at the entrance (once those exist, of course). If the results match, or they don't for a valid reason, they are free to go. If they dont match and no good explanation is given, they are taken to security to decide upon further action.

One of the best videos yet! Just because children are different, whether they have a disability, special needs, blind or dyslexic, doesn't make them worthless; every child deserves love from family no matter what. A child is a blessing and parents will always look out for them. As an Autistic man, I know how that feels, but everyone is special in their own way!

@ hannah krug Yes! While I agree that raising a physically or mentally disabled child isn’t ideal or easy all the time (medical bills, support, etc), it’s those kids who need the love and support of their parents the most. It’s hard enough when they attend school and hardly make friends and struggle harder than their peers or going out in public and feel like they’re being judged and stared at. But being abandoned by parents……the very same people who should love them unconditionally, is way worse.

I watch this show called Switched at birth and seeing this totally brings back memories of that show with slight differences, but this video was very well done. I honestly see the potential of seeing this video as a 1 hour or a 2 hour movie to truly provide more specific details and more background story and more dialogue exchange with the father explaining to Pamela how her pendant is the same with his daughter Olivia pendant. I would definitely love to see an extended version of this because they could be more storytelling to tell here. Amazing video with a good message.

Any Dads, take notes When I was born, if doctors ever had to do something outside of the room, my dad wouldn’t let them unless he could follow them and watch what they were doing to me. The point is, it’s up to the dad to keep and eye on their child after birth. If you just keep an eye out, you can stop a stranger (or even your own partner) from switching your baby.

As someone who almost got swapped at the hospital when I was born, I think your father totally did the right thing! 👍 Some people may consider it controlling or paranoid, but considering things like in this story also happen in real life, it is quite understandable! And only wanting to keep an eye on your newborn child isn't hurting anybody anyways! Is it possible though for the fathers/people close to the parents to actually be present at all times when the child needs to be taken away for checkups and everything? Because if I'll ever have kids, I would want someone to be able to make sure my child will be okay and returned to me!
@farrahjordan1396
@farrahjordan1396 8 ай бұрын
@@Aruna_Shadows yes, it is possible for a family member to be with the baby at all times. I know because I’m perfectly healthy. If you say that you want someone with your baby, then doctors should be okay with that. And think about it. If doctors are hesitant to let a family member watch the baby, then they’re probably trying to do something they shouldn’t be doing. From my perspective it’s “if I can’t witness what you’re about to do to my baby, then it must not be that important.” As you said, there’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to make sure they’re newborn is okay at all times.

As someone who's not blind but visually impaired, this hit hard. Especially when she said the part with falling behind in school, no friends, and no sports. All my life I've been bullied, called names, made fun of, etc. all because of a stupid eye condition that I can't even control because I was born with it. Some people really don't understand how tough it can be growing up with a disability.

Just like 13 years ago when my parents were together, my mother would wait for me to go somewhere, like the bathroom or something, and she would take my brother somewhere and leave me home with my dad. My dad would always get mad at her for it and she’d be like “Well, he’s not gonna know, he’s 2” and my dad would respond with “Well, I will know and so will you.” He would also get mad at her for leaving me on the bed as a baby and I would always fall and hit my head, which would wake him up. He found out why she left in the middle of the night. So she abandoned me before she abandoned me. That might be why when I’m at work I wait for the mother to take the baby out of the cart and put it in the car and then I walk away when I see that the mother is not abandoning the child. That and I have trust issues

I wish Kate Gosselin understood that. You see, her son Collin has ADHD and with that he didn't wanna keep filming the show "Kate Plus 8", he didn't wanna follow Kate's militant regiment and he didn't wanna live up to Kate's narcissistic lifestyle. He really wanted to stay in a relationship with his Jon, his dad. Kate hated that so much that she ended up zip-tying Colling to a chair, locking him the basement and then eventually sending him away to a facility in attempt to never see him again. So you see, Kate Gosselin is a narcissist who never showed her kids any unconditional love and she used them as meal tickets to keep living the celebrity lifestyle

Did Marcus's ex-wife seriously not think the truth would come out eventually? If they live in the same town, it was inevitable that Marcus or Pamela would have seen their biological daughter and started looking. Also, Olivias' physical features would have become to apparent that, if someone questioned them when they were teens, they would've sought the truth themselves. Rose hurt everyone; her mother by basically cutting her out of her life, Marcus by lying to him for years, Pamela by stealing her child and both of the girls(but especially her biological daughter because she didn't want to have a child whose blind).

Hi I am Mya and I am legally blind. The story touches my heart because a lot of people don't understand the position we are in. A lot of us learn to become very independent as we're younger we learn such skills as Braille using the cane or a service dog or sometimes even tools help us get around everyday life. I am in college right now and I have several different tools to help me especially attained and reading services. I just want anyone he thinks differently about s disable able person we are just the same as you guys and we are only at a lower standard in functioning until we learn to do things on her own and then we become very independent some of us do you need help with some of us don't unless the time we don't because we learn to do things on her own.

She didn’t even show any signs of remorse or shame when Marcus and Pamela called her out for her actions. *UPDATE* another thing I noticed on this video, you don’t see Rose interact with Olivia. Thats a great message. I agree, every child should be loved regardless of what medical condition or disability they might have. It was pretty messed up of how Rose switched the babies, not wanting to deal with a blind child. She thought it would be a burden after having to deal with her mother who was also blind. She had a problem with that. Thats even more messed up than abandoning a child who is autistic, I remember seeing that video. It kinda got to me cause I'm autistic mi self, people should always think of disability as a reability.
