I came out to my mum two days ago, and honestly it could have gone better. I'm grateful that she didn't want to cut me out of her life, and that she said I'm still her son, but she kept repeating, "you're too young" and "just try seeing a girl" like she's ashamed of me. I'm gonna give her some space, and give her the time to process it, after which I'm gonna ask her if she's ok with whom I am. She wants to be the one to tell my dad, and I'm SO happy that's it's not me, but I'm terrified that I'll cause my dad a heart attack as he's got a high blood pressure already. I'm just gonna be sending my mum (and dad later) videos, of yours and other KZbinrs that I love, so that they understand that everything will be fine and I'm still me. Thank you both, and your mum, for comforting me in this quite rocky period of my life.

Pretending to be something i am not, instead of dealing with all the struggle that might come with my sexuality.
