Sending love and prayers...my daughter had this same surgery when she was 2. I was scared but prayed my way through, interned out so well and she didn't get sick much after the surgery. Applesauce and popcicles was my saving grace after surgery. I was told by her pediatrician not to give red juices for the first few days after surgery just as a precaution.

Prayers for recovery for Babygirl and you Miya ❤🙏🏽 The recovery for me was rough at first but as the weeks went on it was smooth sailing. I’m sure since Babygirl is younger her recovery is going to be much quicker than mines. I believe I was 21 or 23… I had big kissing tonsils and I was always getting sore throats, tonsil stones, and strep throat… finally in my big old age my Dr felt it was time to get them removed. I still have my adenoids tho. I just remember getting up on the surgery table, counting back from 100, and I was out! Then I woke up in recovery. I say all that to say… God has his hands on the Drs and has his hand on you and babygirl and she’s going to do great. All the foods you got for her during recovery is a life saver, I lost some weight too within that week bc I wasn’t able to eat like normal so don’t be alarm behind that. Once she’s back to eating she’ll gain it back. You’re a great mother and she’s lucky to have you by her side! Pat yourself on the back bc you’re amazing! 💕

My son had the same exact surgery at 8, along with removal of a cyst under his tongue that he was born with...he's 33 now. I understand the worry because us parents are natural worrierers. But believe me, kids are so resilient. I'm sure she'll be fine because GOD is in control 🙏🏾🙏🏾

For future references for anyone, you can take Tylenol “back to back” but it will be 8 hours apart. The goal is to have better coverage by alternating the Tylenol and Motrin because you can give something every 4 hours. For example, if you’re giving Tylenol at noon then you can give Motrin at 4pm then Tylenol again at 8pm then Motrin again at midnight. Also, for some types of pain and for some people one works better than the other so it is okay if the Tylenol doesn’t help to give Motrin an hour after. Just be mindful of the timing until the next dose.

Hey Miya, praying for a speedy recovery for Laya 🙏🏽😇💕. I worked as a RN in the ENT clinic. If you push fluids a few days before Laya’s surgery it will help in the recovery process. My 4 year old daughter needs to have a T&A as well.
