Di po pumasa sa initial evaluation namin ang setaria grass. Mahina sa forage production, crude protein content, drought-tolerance, shade-tolerance and grazing-resistance. Walang quality na mas maganda setaria kumpara sa Mombasa and Mulato II grass. Ordinary grass lng po kasi ang setaria, and we're not even sure kung registered yan sa Bureau of Plant Industry. Improved grass cultivars po ang Mombasa and Mulato II grass, specifically-developed for livestock production.

@@natarakikimat2532 Intensive research on pasture management po ang ginawa namin bago nag small-scale scientific trials sa 15 types of grass/legumes. Yung 2 lng po pumasa sa large-scale trials namin - Mombasa and Mulato II. Maramais, Sorghum and Pakchong Napier are all high-yield high input/maintenance types of grass, while Mombasa and Mulato II are drought-tolerant, high-yielding, low-maintenance grass. Ordinary grass lng po ang setaria grass. Kung baga, native lng yan at hindi improved variety. You can check this video below and see for yourself. This experiment was conducted by a fellow goat raiser from Mindanao. @@Agri-VenturesTV hindi ba nakapasa sa pasture type grass ang kudzo , ruzi or paragrass?. Althgough you concentrated on low maintenance grass for pature requirement, i think adding napier make it as wild including kudzo kasi meron naman kayo schedule rotation in each area para may time na makalaki ibang grass. Kahit low maintenance grass kelangan parin ng assorted na pagkain. In a shaded swale type area/ water logged area, ubon paspalum daw maganda kahit lower ang crude protien pero madali daw tumaba ang Baka.

@@natarakikimat2532 Ruzi and paragrass are inferior compared to Mulato II which is a triple hybrid Brachiaria Grass ( Signal + Ruzi + Palisade). Kudzu, Centrosema and uncountable native species are abundant on our pasture. Name a grazing-tolerant native grass and forbs, and we most definitely have it. Meron na din po kaming napier na almost 1 hectare sa farm. Lastly, Ubon Paspalum is good for occasionally-flooded, waterlogged areas and riparian zones, but registration with BPI is pending as of to date. Mun River pa lng ang registered, which we also have on our farm.

Yes Sir..2 ka batch, pero wala pa ka 5% ang germination rate. Dili pa viable method of propagation. Experiment pa mi sunod napod nga season.
