I think that the 24/7 title was a great idea because of the social media aspect of it. Something that the fans could follow in between shows and gives them a little extra. The looks of the title could've had a bit more to it, I do agree with that but the concept and execution weren't horrible whatsoever. R-Truth really did bring that title from nothing and gave it some prestige with his entertainment, much like the Hardcore title had at times. I think with a bit more work behind it and not just having it as a "random" title someone could claim it could've went a lot further than it did.

The Chyna/Eddie story took a powerful yet disturbing turn when Eddie became verbally and emotionally abusive towards Chyna. As much as I hated to see it happen, I feel we needed it to address intimate partner abuse. It would of been great if the WWE had let this angle play out, with Chyna finally standing up to Eddie's abuse. Unfortunately, the decision was made to have it revealed that Eddie was cheating on Chyna and the whole abuse story was forgotten. Hopefully we won't see an intimate-partner-abuse story between Rhea and Dom (but that the me-celebrity-crushing-on-Rhea side of me talking. 😅🥰).

The 24/7 title was a good idea from a comedy stand point the champ could be ambushed at anytime by anyone and the segments were funny, the biggest issue was the belt looked like a 2 pound coin and came across as cheap, its was never going to be a title that was held by a top super star and so it just got passed around the mid card and jobbers, If they made a decent belt and gave it some emphases then I think it could work.
@ianfeuerhake18596 ай бұрын
Basically every talk show segment since Piper’s Pit has been a cheap knockoff. Their match formulas are also a ripoff of Randy Savage’s ideas. The done to death thing where the ref gets incapacitated, Wrestler A sees this, but then stupidly goes for a pin or submission anyway, resulting in Wrestler B laying for a 20 count or tapping out frantically. Then Wrestler A acts like they won, but no bell and the ref is out. Wrestler A tries to revive the ref, but that dastardly Wrestler B hits them with brass knuckles or whatever, and covers Wrestler A, just in time for the ref to just barely come around enough to count to 3 with his last ounce of energy. This began when Savage defeated Duggan to become the Macho King. Also the formula of choreographing every detail of the match instead of calling it in the ring came from Savage, which has been documented in his WM3 match against Steamboat. And the thing where wrestlers kick out of the finisher, and instead of continuing with offense, the wrestler who thought he was going to win acts surprised for 45 seconds. This started when Savage did 5 elbows on Ultimate Warrior at WM7, and Warrior kicked out. Then Savage kicked out of the press slam/splash from the Warrior. Monsoon said “Is this my destiny?”, and I think of that every time.

I may have forgot one, but those are the WWE full ring collapse angles I can recall immediately. The most unique was Show and Mark in 2011, as it is the ONLY time they didn't end the show with it; Cena and Alberto went out and had a really impressive LMS match afterwards, considering the new circumstances to play with, and the fact their matches were never usually great, before or after.
